I could not have sex without the use of this estradiol vaginal cream that is in syringe form. I used the other type of cream from a regular pharmacy and it irritated me and made me itch so bad that I couldn't use it. I had an oophorectomy and salpingectomy during removal of a large ovarian cyst at age 49. I did not respond well to regular HRT after Estratest was removed from the market. I was prescribed the estrogen patch, which caused a painful rash everywhere I moved it, then estrogen/progesterone gel, then a different combination of estrogen and Prometrium, then a combo gel with not enough progesterone that resulted in a cancer developing in my uterus 20 years after the first surgery. Frustrated I was told I was too old to have HRT and to just learn to deal with it. After several months of feeling like I was losing my mind, vaginal dryness, crummy sex drive, tiredness, irritability and continuously feeling angry, I saw a naturopathic gynecologist who gave me my current regimen of compounded estrogen and progesterone and a testosterone supplement. It turned my whole world back to normal. It keeps my skin in good condition, gave me my sex drive back and generally put my life back on track. I have used compounded products since 2017 at age 71. That same physician prescribed compounded natural thyroid medication which I take also with great success.

I have been using cBHT for many years and it has made a tremendous improvement in my quality of life. I misplaced my prescription cream during a bathroom remodel recently so I can clearly attest to the benefits of using the medical vs. not using the medication. After a couple of weeks of not using the medication I felt much more depressed, lacked motivation to complete simple tasks, my energy level dropped, mental sharpness decreased and overall quality of well-being dropped. I have been using compounded bio-identical hormone therapy for over 10 years. My quality of life has been greatly improved as a result of using them. I have osteopenia, and my bone density scans have improved since I've been using cBHT. My doctor is pleased with the results. My heart health is also benefiting by using cBHT. I am a strong advocate for using compounded products that are beneficial to my body. I refuse to take synthetic hormones and synthetic thyroid medications that have unwanted and unhealthy side effects. My doctor monitors my cBHT levels on a regular basis. Medicare and my secondary health insurance does not cover any of my monthly cBHT prescription costs. However, I am more than willing to pay approximately $150 per month out of pocket to experience the benefits of taking the hormones. I plan to continue using cBHT and hope and pray that the FDA does not restrict my access to them.

I had a full hysterectomy, including ovaries at 43 years. It put me into menopause immediately. At the time I lived in Washington state. My surgeon prescribed me the manufactured hormones in the form of a patch. I had a terrible experience with that as I was allergic and it would leave red blotches all over my body. It also did not work, I was depressed, tired and irritable. I still had hot flashes and lost all sexual drive. I went years like that, miserable. Then I moved to Arizona and was told about the Medical spas here and the bio hormones in the form of pellets. I decided to try it as I was desperate for anything to help me. A few weeks after I received the pellets I started to notice a change. I had energy and I literally felt the darkness lift. 6 months later I felt like I was 30 again. I cannot imagine life without my pellets. I feel great, have energy, my sex drive is normal and I am able to live my life without fatigue, hot flashes and misery. Why would anyone want to take that away from women like me?

I get annual blood work done and am excited and fortunate to be able to say everything is normal.
If bio-identical HRT is ultimately banned, I worry that the health and happiness of all the women currently taken this now will decline significantly.
