During perimenopause, I was having my period twice a month. My doctor put me on progesterone pills which only made me sick and depressed, but did nothing for my problem. As the pills were the lowest dose available in that form, she then tried an IUD which according to her was the lowest dose available. This also did not work and I felt miserable. I began seeing another doctor. After extensive hormone testing, she also recommended progesterone. I did not want to go this route due to prior experience. She told me that we would be using compounded bio identical progesterone, not synthetic. I still had reservations, but using the compounded progesterone turned my life around. To got rid of my period and my depression and we could make small tweaks when dosage needed to be changed. I don't know what my life would be like if I couldn't have access to compounded bio identical hormones.

When I turned 51 I was fully menopausal. I have interstitial cystitis and the lack of estrogen in my system was making my IC symptoms worse. In short, with compounded bioidentical HRT I am able to receive hormonal support from all 3 estrogens, favoring estriol, the weaker estrogen/less potentially harmful in general. As a result, my IC is well controlled. My provider and I have found that when estradiol is increased, my uterine size increases causes bloating and more cramping so it has been important for me to use estriol predominantly. My testosterone cream therapy which I started when I was 50 and now 68 has been the most amazing medication. I feel better and stronger and energetic then when I was in my fourties.

I gave the synthetic pharmaceutical replacement a chance with an outcome of physical and emotional disaster. I experienced skin rashes and an emotional rollercoaster. Upon the advice of my physician at the time , he recommended and prescribed the more natural bio-identical hormone replacement. I became me again with no side affects. Life was great once more. I’ve been taking this product for almost 20 years with no problems and now you want to take it away? Even the insurance companies use to pay for this Rx, then through this familiar influence the insurance companies stopped paying. This compound was so important to me at the time, that I continued to pay the expensive cost to get it for my well being. Now you’re trying to take it away? Why? It seems there is an ethical issue here. If it helps just one person, the pharmacies should be allowed to service this non-toxic form of meds. It seems there are hundreds maybe thousands who have relied on this product. Twenty years is proof in the pudding l’d say...Please show us that we the people are the reason and proof of why you are a governing entity.... that needs to serve the interests and health and well being of the populace. 

Although a student, most of the patients we see at our clinic are coming in for cHRT. Not only have I never witnessed an adverse reaction, these patients lives are restored. The compounding teams are incredibly knowledgeable and laser focused at what they do. It would be devastating for many to be pushed back into the larger medical system to receive the careful care they currently experience under private professionals. This is undoubtedly a move motivated by false pretenses and without care for thriving human life.

After menopause, I experience severe physical and mental symptoms that completely changed my life. Mentally, I became depressed and agitated. I went into full Menopause in my early to mid-forties. I am adopted & do not know my medical history, but have a brother 1 year older, who has had cancer in his forties. I have used compounded hormone replacement cream for several years. Prior to this treatment, I tried over-the-counter and prescription medications, pills and patches. Nothing worked for me. I still had massive hot flashes and debilitating night sweats. Since starting a compounded cream/ointment, all of these symptoms have disappeared and I have been able to enjoy hot flash free days and night sweat free nights. Please don't take this medication away and put it in the hands of pharmaceutical company's that have NO IDEA how to satisfy this very acute need for me.

For peri-menopause-big help. I also currently take T3 compounded thyroid hormone therapy daily. It has helped TREMENDOUSLY with Wilson's Temperature Syndrome, a stress related Thyroid disorder.

It gives me energy and helps to keep my body strong. There was night and day difference once I started to take it.

In 2011, I David R. Byler, was at a mental health facility and I was diagnosed as having bipolar. I was put on meds for that. I was very, very sad and depressed - crying about next to nothing. Following a full hysterectomy, I had no success with conventional estrogen treatments. My GYN prescribed Estrodial drops, compounded. This was in 1992, and I am still using them today. Since 1992, I have had 2 bad falls and sustained no broken bones. Attending physicians said my bones were in remarkable shape, and attributed it to the Estradiol treatment. I am currently seeing an orthopedic surgeon for hip and low back issues. He tells me my hips are in remarkable shape for my age, 73 years old. Without my Estradiol, I have headaches and lack of energy. They are essential to my daily lifestyle. PLEASE do not take them away from me!

It is the ONLY thing that worked after many, many prescriptions for hormone replacement. I had severe symptoms for many years. I cant live without these bio identical hormones.

I have been on cBHT for about 15 years and plan to be on cBHT for the rest of my life. I had hot flashes so bad - I had them about every hour all day long and at night when I would role over or change positions I would have them. My mood is so much better according to my husband. My hormone replacement therapy has lessened my bladder infections. At one point I stopped using the estrogen cream, and my bladder infections came back. Using the cream again, I am not having the infections.
