Without TRT I would likely be dead. I am a physician. Between the spinal cord injuries, bacterial meningitis and just the stress of these injuries alone combined with the stress of being a single father, it is very hard to imagine navigating and even surviving without TRT.

I had a total hysterectomy 5 years ago and take compounded hormone therapy. I certainly do not want to function without it. I do so much better when taking it and I am a much better mom and wife. I have been using the cream to help improve my osteoporosis spine and neck numbers. I will attach my improvement numbers since using the creams. The data is my handwriting, but my doctors have the actual reports. I did NOT want to take the usually recommended avenues, due to the side affects. This seemed a better option and is working.

As I entered post-menopause, I began having regular UTI's, my vagina was beginning to atrophy and sex was difficult. Within a month after starting the cBHT, I became calmer, the UTI's went away and, thus the antibiotics, and sex was much better. I continue to use the suppositories 3x/week. I have had no negative side effects - all positive.

I am not a candidate for traditional hormone replacement because my sister has has breast cancer. The cBHT has been a godsend, allowing me to have effective hormone replacement. Due to hysterectomy and BSO at 47 I was thrown into instant menopause. Also my cervix was removed causing pelvic floor weakness. My hormone therapy has enabled me to continue intimacy with my husband and has helped keep bladder where it should be. Without therapy intimacy is almost impossible and I experience some bladder symptoms. I cannot afford the hormone replacement through my Medicare part D. Without my cream from my compounding pharmacy, my life certainly would not be as good as it is!

I began using compounded hormonal replacement to control menopausal symptoms, especially bone loss and core body strength. I am quite pleased with the results. I am an advocate of compounded hormonal replacement because it allows my doctor to prescribe exactly what my body needs. She, not a large pharmaceutical company controls what goes into my body. I also trust the purity of the product my compounding pharmacy provides. I would be extremely reluctant to take hormones from a large pharmaceutical company. I probably would not do so. I see no reason to do away with small compounding pharmacies besides greed on the part of the large pharmaceutical companies.

I am very thankful of finding out about hormones. It has changed my life tremendously I sleep better. I am healthier. Living a better life. Praising God also for being directed to hormone therapy!

I took the drug premarin for 18 years, and never felt right until I started on bio-identical compounded for me and it changed my life for the better. Just made me feel normal again.

I am now 62 years old. I started using cBHT (estriol suppositories) because of vaginal dryness 4 or more years ago. Hormone testing showed my estriol levels close to zero. My prescription took some time to work but did work well after a while and continues to work well for dryness. I then developed severe pelvic prolapse symptoms and found my cBHT prescription provided significant help with early symptoms. It was not a fix; I eventually required surgery in 2019, which for me led to a difficult recovery. It was about a year before I felt fully recovered. This condition can recur after surgery and continuing my cBHT was recommended by my surgeon to support pelvic tissues and reduce risk of recurrence. During recovery I noticed the cBHT made a difference in amount of pelvic strain I noticed, definitely easing symptoms. I also have low muscle tone in my anal sphincter which causes bowel incontinence. My cBHT prescription is HUGELY helpful in mitigating this problem. It is my primary quality-of-life application for this medication and I would be miserable without this treatment. I see the extra unwanted ingredients in pharmaceutical solutions and the long list of side effects and that is really concerning. I have had zero side effects from my cBHT and it just has vitamins, bioidentical estriol, and coconut oil. I feel a whole lot better putting this in my body than a pharmaceutical and I become scared and angry at the thought of this option being taken away from me. This medication needs to be taken long term and I don't want to be forced to poison myself with pharmaceutical additives or risk those side effects in order to get medical help for my conditions. Given the FDA allows the hormone replacement pharmaceuticals with all their inherent risk, I cannot understand why they have a problem with my cBHT, which seems to me much safer and still effective, and can be specifically dosed for me for the minimum dose that is effective.

Hello, When I received notification that the FDA is considering eliminating compounded bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, I was HORRIFIED. For those who have never had to deal with hormonal imbalance, consider yourselves blessed. In my particular case, I struggled for at least a decade with severe depression, mood swings, hot flashes, catatonia, insomnia, and brain fog. I was unable to have a normal sex life with my husband due to excruciating pain. It felt like nothing short of a miracle when my doctor recommended bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for me. Before that, nothing worked. Furthermore, I'm sensitive to synthetic medications and so the "conventional" hormone therapy originally prescribed only exacerbated my issues. I ask that you take my experience, and the experience of thousands of other women, into consideration before you make a determination that would undermine our physical health and our mental state. When my hormones were tested at age 49, my estrogen and other hormones were really low (almost nonexistent) despite still having a cycle. Sex was painful even with lubricant. Everything was dry all the time. My mood and sleep were also affected. With the help of personalized compounded bio-identical hormone replacement everything changed. My vaginal dryness was causing pain associated with having sex and multiple urinary tract infections. I had had only two UTIs in my lifetime before menopause.
