For me, bioidentical hormone therapy was life changing. It's hard to explain how much of a positive impact it's made. I'd given up on Premarin cream and the estrogen pills prescribed by my previous doctors. I felt that my mental health was suffering along with the ability to enjoy life with my family. I experienced constant hot flashes, vaginal dryness, weight gain, depression, and severe insomnia. All of these symptoms decreased and then ceased after my first and then ongoing cBHT pellet treatments. All those I've talked to have had similar results with no negative side effects. I'd be lost if this type of treatment were no longer available to me!

I started using compounded bioidentical hormones after experiencing side effects from oral hormones, such as a cyst in my breast and fibrous tumors in my uterus. I need hormones because night sweats would waken me four or five times per night for 20 minutes at a time, severely impacting my sleep and my ability to function well the following day. I really didn't understand how much my body was affected as I began going through perimenopause. I was lying in bed for up to four days during and after my menstrual cycle. I would force myself to work even though I was dizzy and light-headed. I had brain fog that affected my cognitive abilities. Hot flashes and restlessness made it difficult for me to get to sleep easily. I also gained weight even though I was eating healthy becoming almost borderline overweight. When I began taking bioidentical hormone therapy all my symptoms went away. I wasn't even aware how much my quality of life was affected until the symptoms disappeared. In order for me to have the full and productive life I have now, I need the bioidentical hormones. cBHT was prescribed pre-menopausal for me around age 45. It was a life saver as far as menopausal symptoms that other women had using non compounded. I have NEVER had a hot flash, my energy remained even, and compared to other women I know mood swings were very rare. My doctor is a more natural type doctor and prefers more natural solutions. I am now 63 and I still use cBHT which has been adjusted as my body has evolved over the past 18 years.

I have been taking cBHT for eight years. I had uterine cancer 20 years ago and was told to avoid hormonal supplementation. However upon researching cBHT I decided to try the therapy. I take estrogen, testosterone and progesterone via vaginal cream and my symptoms (vaginal dryness, low libido) have improved tremendously. In addition my bone density tests have showed improvement of my osteopenia. My practitioner also monitors my adrenal function and thyroid levels to ensure maximum effects from the cBHT.
