CBHT is not offered by other Doctors and I am so thankful I found Medical Doctors that are able to address all of my hormonal concerns. I have been using the Pellet procedure for over five years for low energy, low libido, vaginal dryness and sleep deprivation. I am so thankful for Dr Amy Brenner MD's services! Eight years ago I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 34. Mentally I was all over the place. I gained weight, I couldn't control my emotions and hot flashes. Even though I'm on a fairly low dose, having this compound has helped me retain my energy and keep my muscle mass (nearly the same as it was when I was 40). Before I started using the compounding pharmacy I used Androgel. It was VERY expensive. Using a compounding pharmacy I received a similar product at ~ 1/10th the cost. I hope I can keep getting this compounded product from my pharmacy.

I have been on BHRT since 1999. I was only in my late 50's, but my quality of life was so poor as I had been having severe perimenopausal symptoms since my early 40s.

The bioidentical hormones from compounding pharmacies under a hormone doctors supervision were the answer to my symptoms. I got my life back! I was once again able to have normal energy, clear thinking, absence of joint pain, mood swings, return of libido, and the general sense of well-being that I had lost.

I am completely devastated to think that the FDA is considering restrictions on compound hormone therapy! For many years I was on synthetic hormones and I had constant pain in my ovaries I also was losing hair like mad! After reading how bad the The synthetic progesterone and synthetic horse urine in the estrogen I decided to use compounded bio identical hormones. My hair loss has stopped no more pain in my ovaries my overall well-being I feel much better and knowing that these compounded hormones are good for bones and I do have osteoporosis. I don’t understand why the FDA Has to come in mess with stuff that is helping us women, we pay out of pocket I don’t understand why they are doing this! This actually gave me a panic attack and I cried my eyes out. We can’t let them take away our hormone therapy!!

When I got the note that the FDA possibly wants to take away bio identical hormone therapy I literally had a panic attack and broke out in tears! I was on synthetic hormones for years and it caused me to have a hysterectomy and almost all of my hair eventually fell out! This was so devastating to my self-esteem and I never wanted to hang out with my friends let alone look in the mirror every day. After working with a naturopath who understands progesterone versus progestins and the harsh effects of horse urine she turned my life around! Bio identical‘s stopped my hot flashes that were happening every hour on the hour, they helped me to sleep, they helped with my mood and anxiety, my hair started to grow back, and my confidence and libido were restored!! Also, I had a bone scan that showed osteopenia in my left hip and lower back. Since I have been on hormone therapy after a couple of years I got another bone scan and I actually showed improvement in my bone density! I did nothing different except for bio identical hormones, which is why I am willing to pay for them out of pocket. The FDA and pharmaceuticals that want to mess with this is outrageous!! Women deserve to feel well and be well. If we can’t get insurance to cover this and we are willing to pay for it out of pocket then they need to leave us the hell alone! Please please please tell the FDA to stop this bullying with our hormones that don’t have the terrible side effects!! I’ve done both for years and there is NO COMPARISON to how much better my life and hair are doing on my compounded bio identical hormones!!!!

I have used bio-identical compounded hormones for many years. They got me through menopause easily, with minimal effects of hot flashes, mood swings and other typical symptoms. I will not take synthetic hormones so, if compounded hormone therapy is no longer available, my hormone balance would be thrown off the cliff. The studies done showing negative side effects of hormone therapy have all been done with synthetic hormone replacement. Saliva testing is done in conjunction with compounded hormones to establish the correct dosing needed for each individual. I feel this is the safest, most reliable method available to women and should be preserved at all cost. Thank you.

A compounding druggist suggested saliva and blood tests to determine hormonal deficiencies, and imbalances which change as one grows older. My doctor liked the idea, and, over 20 years, I have enjoyed the benefits of having balanced hormones for a woman of 78 years. I had a complete hysterectomy while in my fifties so hormonal cancer is not a concern. I am very grateful to that druggist, the testing lab and my personal doctor for taking a personal interest in my health. My only regret is that hormonal compounding treatment is not covered by insurance.

I am 82 yrs old and have suffered for years with UTI. I started going to a urologist who put me on a vaginal cream through a compounding pharmacist. My UTI have gone down to 1 a year and it regimen has work very well. To hear that the government wants to curtail compounding pharmacy was very disturbing to me. My RX is made up specifically for me. I’m tired of the one size fits all. I can feel assured that my medication was made up for my particular problem and I dont have to deal with medication that is suited for everyone. I’d be heartbroken to have this taken away from met.

I started using hormone therapy after I went through menopause, due to the fact that sexual intercourse with my husband was so painful. I would burn and burn and be sore the next day still. After starting my compounding meds/hormones, i got so much relief. Feel like a normal woman and am enjoying my husband.

I do not understand why these compound meds are being threatened, if they work, but i have also learned that the government is about it's self and not the people, so of course they want to do away with these helpful compound hormone replacements.

I had to start taking hormone replacement therapy 1yr ago. The lowest strength estradiol supplement is a transdermal patch and it releases 0.0375mg/24 hours. The patch is changed every 3 days. I was allergic to the adhesive in the patch and it caused a red / itchy rash all around where the patch was applied on my skin. There were no tablets in mg size small enough to replace the patch. So, compounding my prescription was the only choice. I now have a transdermal cream and 1ml / 1 pump has 0.0375mg that I apply daily. It works great. Please do not stop the production of compounded hormone replacement medications.

I saw a physician for lack of energy, insomnia and unexplained weight gain. I've always been active, even running marathons well into my late 40's so these problems were very disconcerting.

I was given a battery of tests and it was determined that I had a very low testosterone level. I was given a prescription to bring this level back up to normal levels. It is not so much that I've gained a lot of muscle mass or had any kind of mood swings, it has just helped me feel like myself again. I would be very disappointed if this necessary prescription was suddenly made unavailable.

I had a surgical brought on menopause in my mid 20's. I do have one son born in 1972. I was 21 years of age. Premarin .625 mgs daily for years . Severe headaches I did not understand . Dr at time discussed hormone coumpound. Although he was not a gynecologist, but an allergy and immunologist.and treated the thyroid.also. He also wrote natural compound medicines too. So I began taking the better form of estrogen . It greatly decreased the head aches . I have been on it for MANY years. It really does me a world of good. I am sensitive to many other medications. Combined with thyroid treatment and the small dose estrogen, something just blended and it is my combination that is taylor made just for me. I am now 68.
