I entered menopause early. And before I entered menopause my hormones were messed up. In fact I really felt hormonal all the time as if my period was going to come the very next day. I felt anxious, I felt tired, I felt like I was at the end of my rope all the time. Usually I could handle this because my period would come, my hormones would level out, and then I would feel myself again. But after months of no relief, the compounded hormones that I have been taking have been a lifesaver for me. I’m not even 50 yet and I’ve been taking hormones for a couple years now and I now feel myself, I have much more band with, I don’t feel out of control. I was diagnosed with stage 2 estrogen dominant breast cancer over 30 years ago at age 43. My lymph nodes were removed under my left arm. I underwent chemotherapy and radiation. As a result I experienced a premature menopause. It was terrible. Hot flashes, night sweats, moods swings and depression so bad I couldn’t work. Antidepressants and antipsychotics were prescribed as well as psychotherapy. My sex life ended and divorce followed. Osteopenia was diagnosed and Fosamax was prescribed. I attended a talk by my pharmacist on progesterone cream. I did research and found a physician who prescribed bio identical hormones. That was almost 20 years ago. I no longer need Fosamax or antidepressants. My bone density test is much improved. My spine is normal. I am a vibrant 73 year old with an active sexual life. I am strong. I am happy. I am cancer free! I believe my quality of life is a direct result of the bio identical progesterone and estradiol that is prescribed by my ob/gyn and filled by my compounding pharmacy.

I just wanted to voice my support for the compounding industry and those pharmacies that support it. As a patient who relies on compounded goods to maintain a quality level of life, I like to note how much of a marked difference it makes in my life. From someone who has struggled hormonally for many years, this provides an invaluable service for me and keeps me healthy. Via my doctor’s guidance and a quality compounding pharmacy, I feel able to enjoy life again and would be left to a unhealthy, challenging lifestyle if taken away. By finding a quality practitioner and pharmacy that support me and my lifestyle I feel blessed and I know other recipients feel the same way. Please consider continuing to allow this practice as it keeps me and others functional and healthy. The alternative is the exact opposite of the definition of health and I don’t believe any one would support that.

I went thru some horrible hot flashes and night sweats when I began to go thru Menopause at 52. I couldn't take it and investigated Hormone Therapy and found compounded HRT. I loved the result. The flashes greatly diminished and I was able to get some quality sleep. Plus the bone density tests that I have had over the years have not changed. I am now 70 years old and still have pretty youthful skin tone. I totally agree and am in favor of compounded HRT therapy.

Additionally I take compounded Thyroid medication to keep my system normal. So that would affect me and many others that rely on this personalized medication.

Shortly after my first cBHT treatment I began feeling like my self again. My ability to focus, my energy level and my mood have all improved. I am uncertain as to why you would want to limit who can receive this treatment, but it harkens back to only producing birth control for women and allowing viagra for men.

I am a 48 year old woman who has been using cBHT for almost 4 years. I suffered from hot flashes, low libido, vaginal dryness, lethargy, and terrible sleep issues. I am a 43 year old female using a low dose of Testosterone. I was experiencing exhaustion , low libido and depression. Hormone therapy almost immediately changed all of that. I have more energy and a libido that normal. I also have overcame my depression. I have been using hormone therapy for a little over a year and have had nothing but positive effects. I feel like a normal healthy 43 year old female now. Thanks to my doctor for being open minded about alternative medications. Not just antidepressants and energy drinks which bring on other negative side affects.

The FDA doesn’t have the right to tell me what to do with my body. I’m 65 and I work every day, workout and have a great sex life with my husband. I act 40 not 65 and it’s all because of HRT. I need the balance of estrogen, testosterone and progesterone in a controlled setting, given by providers that specialize in HRT. HRT improves ones quality of life especially as we age. By restricting it your going to open a Pandora’s box because one way or another either legally or illegally people will continue to obtain it so the FDA better think long and hard about what they are doing.

I’ve been on hormone therapy for 3 years. I’ve experienced a drastic improvement in my quality of life from elimination of hot flashes, brain fog and lack of energy. The government needs to stay out of this. There are no harmful side affects and it’s has helped lots of women. Stop trying to control our bodies!

cBHT is the only thing that has worked for me. I tried various typical hormone replacement therapies that either made me fell awful with emotions running everywhere or I would out in 8 lbs in water weight. I can’t imagine having to go backwards. I am in my 40s and had a hysterectomy which caused early menopause...I need cBHT to have a normal life with my partner and to enjoy life.

I have gotten bioidentical hormones for the past 7 years after a total hysterectomy due to endometriosis. I have felt great with them and have not been affected by any post menopausal symptoms. I feel safe with bioidentical hormones and do not feel safe taking traditional synthetic hormones due to increased side effects and cancer risks.

As a citizen of the US, I should have the right to choose my own healthcare . I have the right to reject mainstream, one-size-fits-all medications that do not suit my body or my philosophy. I choose to use natural medications and therapies because they are the best choice for me. We should be working to preserve that freedom of voice by protecting compounding medications and natural therapies. There are also huge conflicts of interest about who is paying for the studies that discredit bio-identical hormones. Look at all the facts, not just what big pharma is promoting. This is about greed & profit, and our freedom of choice is not disposable!

I quit having my period in my early 20s. I was told that it would lead to negative health effects and tried many times to take the pill and then prescription progesterone from the regular pharmacy. I had major side effects on all these from severe low blood pressure to extreme mood swings to finally severe pain. The last pharmacy progesterone I tried trigger severe body and joint pain that has taken me years to try to get under control. When I was first suggested to try a compounded progesterone, I was nervous of what they side effects would be. Amazingly I had no negative side effects, but for the first time in years I started to get deeper and more refreshing sleep. I also started having my period again.
After being on this several year, I was recommended to try compounded bio-identical testosterone since I was very low. I again started at a very low dose and it has been another game changer for me. It has helped my myofascial muscle pain and energy levels from chronic fatigue. Last year when my husband was furloughed during the pandemic, I quit using the testosterone cream every night and I notice a negative difference in my health.
My prescribing doctor stays on top of checking my labs regularly to make sure I stay within my optimal range of both my progesterone and testosterone. I cannot image having to stop taking these, my quality of life would suffer greatly.
