A few years went by and I felt like I was losing myself. I was depressed, I gained weight, and I didn't have any energy. I didn't like my husband and I didn't like my kids. I went in to see my doctor and he said you know they have come out with hormone replacement compounds. Let's check your hormone level by running blood samples and see where you're at. My levels came back and everything was at a zero. He started me on my hormone replacement cream Within four weeks. I felt like a totally new person. This is something women even men cannot live without. I am now 53 years old and I don't know where I'd be without my hormones. I don't know if the FDA group that makes these decisions are a bunch of young people that just feel wonderful or if it's a bunch of men. I don't know, but they need to live with a woman 24/7 that has no hormones. They would be pleading with somebody to give them their replacement cream.

I have always had low progesterone problems, but had such a severe drop after my third child, that I had a three-month migraine (no epidural, etc. to blame it on). Before bioidentical HRT, I was a mess. I did try traditional pharma (IUD and estrogen patch) but I was always in a bad mood, I had no sex drive, and I couldn't be a good partner in my relationship. I felt like an empty human in my soul. I also have side effects from pharma hormones. Not good ones. Ones that lead to antidepressants. NO one needs to be on those unless they have to be.
Bioidenticals have given me my quality of life back. I am only 47 and that is too young to not live a full life. With traditional pharma, I felt the road I was going down was more pharma drugs to treat the other issues. I honestly was miserable. Adding more bandaids adds more problems. Bioidenticals get to the root cause and address them, not slap bandaids and call it healthy. It's not.
This one troche does everything. My mood has improved, my happiness level have improved, my sex drive has been improved and I can be a good partner in my relationship.
I am not a person who wants to be a slave to Big Pharma. It does have its time and place, but so do my bioidenticals. Please do not mess with my life. We as women have too many people in our reproductive lives as is. LET ME BE MY ADVOCATE FOR MY HEALTH. I know my body better than anyone else.

I had a complete hysterectomy at 42 and tried using prescription estrogen patches and did not have good results. I was tired, had hot flashes and was feeling off. I told the doctor I felt different and not like myself and when they tested my hormones, I wasn't getting enough from the patches. I was also not pleased with my doctor and her attitude.
I switched doctors to one that prescribes compounds. I was very nervous but after a few months the I could see the difference. No more hot flashes, I felt more balanced and just overall more normal. I can't imagine how long it would take to figure out what combination of drugs would produce the same results.

Initially my doctor prescribed prempro and some of the other synthetic hormones but there were too many side effects, i.e. breast tenderness and vaginal discharge. I sought out a doctor who prescribed bioidentical hormones and after a complete workup I started taking the troches. Almost immediately the severe hot flashes, trouble concentrating, being unable to sleep through the night and lack of libido were gone. That was 10 years ago. I see my doctor every year to discuss dosage and how I'm feeling. I hate to think about going back to feeling the way I did before taking bioidentical hormones. I have NEVER had one negative side effect from them and have recommended them to many of my friends and relatives.

I was in good shape, 5 ft. 4 inches and 120 pounds, worked out regularly, but I felt a sense of doom and gloom and was fuzzy due to lack of sleep. I started with the pellets for four years and then switched to the troches as it was easier to make adjustments month to month.
