My loss of hormones after menopause and then retirement was devastating: I lost interest in most activities, experienced debilitating fatigue and spent hours on the couch every day, with no desire to do anything. BHT has enhanced my life, possibly even saved it. The option to obtain this medication thru reputable regulated compounding pharmacies needs to continue as this kind of therapy is simply not available from large commercial pharmacies or giant pharmaceutical companies.

Hormones have decreased my chronic pain and improved my mood. Before starting hormones, I experienced a frozen shoulder which was one of the most painful experiences of my life. My doctor thought lack of hormones contributed to the development of that condition. Why in the WORLD would the FDA seek to restrict access to something that is beneficial to people? My guess would be because they are being lobbied to do so by companies who stand to benefit financially if the only option available to patients such as myself is the FDA approved option. Without my HCG injections, I get severe PMS symptoms days before my cycle starts. I feel so low, empty, and useless. Probably very close to depressive symptoms. Please do not take these resources away from patients in need.
