The onset of menopausal symptoms turned my life upside down. Even all the advise one receives about this transition doesn't prepare you for the "jolt"! I was fortunate to be under the care of a competent physician who recommended the cBHT and worked in tandem with the Compounding Pharmacy. This provided me the relief and trust I needed to meet my individual needs. I didn't want to be restricted to the off-the-shelf medicines, or drug companies who can't make individualized doses to fit a patients need. Thank you! Please vote and fight to keep the compounded medications available. This affects so many people whose lives would not be the same without them.

Using bioidentical thyroid medication, my internal medicine doctor has been able to tweak my thyroid to the exact amount of T3 and T4 I need, which was never possible with traditional thyroid medications.
Also, bioidentical progesterone and testosterone work so much better for me than traditional forms.
I just wish my health insurance covered bioidenticals. I had to stop using bioidentical hormones due to the cost.
But my thyroid being perfect is so important to me that I have continued to pay for bioidentical thyroid medication out of my own pocket.

Ever since the birth of my second child, I suffered horribly from night sweats and irregular, painful periods. This included a lot of anxiety and crankiness in the days leading up to my cycle. Once I started bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, these symptoms subsided. My body feels younger, I sleep better and I feel more balance than I ever have in my entire life. I cannot imagine not using cBHT as a therapy for my health and longevity.

It is the only form of estrogen that doesn't make me sick. I have taken pills, sprays, and other varieties of estrogen, and the vaginal cream stopped the bleeding from dryness and does not make me nauseous.

I am 34 years old and have gone through menopause already. Prior to this I have tried multiple synthetic hormones and birth control over the years, my body did not tolerate any of them that I tried (different brands, different levels and methods). They all caused extreme symptoms; nausea/vomiting, significant personality changes, bleeding every day of the month, etc. Enough that my doctor and I decided that I should not take them. But then I went through menopause early and have been on bioidentical hormones since we figured it out. I feel so much better since starting them, my life can go on with me feeling like myself again. For my health I need to have hormone replacement therapy for many more years, but if these hormones were taken away from me I would be greatly affected. Taking synthetic hormones is not a viable option for me. These hormones are individualized to what my body needs, please don't let anyone take that away from me and all of the other women out there whose lives are improved by using them. At age 37, surgery removed my only working hormone. I had hot flashes and low libido. I tried Premarin but I started bleeding heavily. My gynecologist wanted to do a hysterectomy. I was also having thyroid problems and my endocrinologist, Dr. Nafach, suggested compounded hormone therapy. I have been using it for years. I am 65 now and healthy with no issues. I look and feel more youthful, vibrant and libido is good.

I have been following a very safe and highly monitored use of HRT for over eight years and feel it has provided a wonderful, healthy lifestyle. At 50 years of age, I started experiencing menopause symptoms and suffered with those more than 10 years. After having a bone scan, I was told I had osteopenia. My mother had breast cancer with a double mastectomy in her late 50's, and later died of heart disease at 79. Not wanting to take synthetic drugs for osteoporosis, I sought help from an "alternatives MD" who introduced me to cBHT. I see her faithfully two times a year and get my blood drawn/tested for my hormone levels every three months. My health is excellent, my body and bones are healthy and strong and you would never guess I am 72 years old! PLEASE do NOT restrict cBHT! I love them and want to continue with these for as long as possible!

I did not see the option to acknowledge the use of compounded hormones for pregnancy. I used compounded progesterone for the healthy completion of three of my six pregnancies, and discovered the need for the increased progesterone after our first miscarriage. I cannot imagine the potential loss of any of my children had I not been able to take the oral troches and then shots.
Now, later in life I have been blessed by the balancing of my hormones through both a cream and pill form.

Going into my first pregnancy I knew I would be low in progesterone due to a prior diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I was tested and saw that I was in need of supplemental progesterone. I took compounded bioidentical progesterone in three different forms (injection, orally and suppository) for the entirety of my pregnancy. Because my naturally occurring numbers were so low, I have no doubt that if I had not been on progesterone supplements, I would have lost my baby in an early miscarriage. I continued to take them throughout to avoid preterm labor, which I was successful in doing. My husband and I probably owe our baby's life to progesterone being available within a matter of days of finding we needed it. I'm sure that compounded progesterone will continue to be an important part of my life as I navigate my PCOS diagnosis.

I am a 33 year old female who had my uterus, ovaries, and tubes removed at age 29 due to progressive and recurrent bilateral borderline ovarian tumors. After surgery, I immediately went into surgical menopause. The drastic drop in hormones caused me to have severe hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, lethargy, vaginal discomfort, vaginal atrophy, sexual disfunction, and urinary issues. My body needed the hormones that I could no longer produce on my own without hormone replacement. Before using a vaginal cBHT cream, I suffered from extreme vaginal dryness, pain during sex, thinning of the vagina, and frequent UTIs. I no longer have those symptoms anymore. If you are unable to produce hormones or have a hormone deficiency, cBHT is a miracle worker.
