Going on bioidentical hormones changed my lifestyle drastically. I almost felt like I was dying before I took them. After menopause I went off the bioidentical hormones and again my life was miserable. I had night sweats and hot flashes all day long. I was tired and weak all the time. I was severely depressed and crabby. I went back on them and it has been 15 years that I have been taking them. I am living a happy healthy life. I cannot live without the bioidentical hormones. Compounded bioidentical hormone therapy has made a huge impact on the quality of my life. I know without them I would be very depressed. I have suffered from Polycystic ovary syndrome since I was 13 years old. I have tried many types of synthetic hormones over the years to try to correct my hormone imbalance but they made me feel terrible. When I was on synthetic hormones I was depressed and I suffered with constant headaches, felt nauseated most of the time and was extremely tired. After taking compounded bioidentical hormones, I do not suffer at all with with these side effects and I feel like a normal healthy human being. I never want to go back to synthetic hormones. Bioidentical hormones have truly changed my life. I would be devastated if this option was not available to me or was restricted. I pray that this will not happen and that the FDA will not put restrictions on compounding bioidentical hormone therapy.

Despite exercise, diet, working with a nutritionist, and sleeping well, I couldn't fix either problem and my mood would shift quickly for no reason. Even despite blood work coming back normal, I finally did the saliva hormone testing and found I had NO progesterone and was incredibly estrogen dominant despite being just 35. In just two months I finally am starting to come out of the fog, mood swings and extreme fatigue. I am finally feeling more like myself and can't wait to see how else my body will transform now that I am able to create balance within my body.

cBHT has made a huge difference in my life! Being able to test to see what my hormone levels were doing throughout the day and then receive the correct amount of each hormone I needed through cBHT has really made a big impact on how I feel each day. I had so many difficulties going into menopause - sleeplessness, hot flashes, and brain fog. The constantly being hot was more than I could manage with my career. The mood swings were testing my family. I have felt better with this treatment than I did taking estrogen pills and I do think I have benefitted from the use as I continue to age. The science may not always support the use of this - but the factors that I know improved certainly would and how one feels is very important in how you manage your life and being able to handle work and home and family - there are no breaks in what you need to do.
