In 2006, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. A few years later, the Multiple Myeloma began to resurge, and my physician found that I was HYPOTESOSTERONEMIC. He prescribed the available topicals that did not deliver enough Testosterone. He then prescribed a compounded formulation by Kusler's Pharmacy in Snohomish. This topical was successful, and was crucial in making my treatment, Revlimid plus Dexamethasone, work. I have been using it since, and it has become an important part of Multiple Myeloma therapy.

I was changed from Big Pharma hormonal replacement by Bastyr University Clinic in Seattle many years ago. My doctor keeps me on it for the good it does my body and inner organs. The FDA has already restricted the therapy once some years ago. I can only assume that some very big money interests are out to restrict this further now if not eliminate it so people have to take regular pharmaceuticals instead thus financially benefitting larger moneyed interests. And the so-called "research" that is being put forward is, I am sure, nothing more than done in the interest of large money firms, not in the interest of patient care. We need to be reminded in this country that we were founded on the basis that the people need to be protected from the government overreaching its authority.

I had ovarian cancer at age 39 and the hormone therapy has been a lifesaver. I am on a small dose and have no hot flashes. My emotions are stable and I feel great. I know it is the hormone therapy because I went off it for several months and felt terrible. When I went back on it all my negative symptoms went away.

I've been using progesterone cream and Biest drops for six years. It's changed my life dramatically. I take an extremely small dose - just enough to ward off the negative affects of menopause. By using cream and drops, I can increase or decrease the dosage according to my symptoms. Cream and drops are also much easier on my liver. My sleep dramatically improved, eliminated middle of the night hot flashes and has balanced my mood. I feel at ease using compounded natural hormones. I don't want to use synthetic medication. 16 years ago I was very messed up, crying for no reason, depressed, couldn't think right, tired, and hot flashes. EVERY menopausal systems there is, I had. I realized it was menopause and I started researching what I could do. After trying other things I learned everything there is about bioidentical hormones and having been using them DAILY for 16 years. They are safer then what the FDA has approved for use such Premarin. I had severe menopausal symptoms and cBHT has allowed me to minimize the symptoms which allows me to carry on with life more normally. I used to have hot flashes all day long and wake up with night sweats multiple times a night, as well as feeling as though I was in a fog. On the alternate days, I do three miles of walking and running on my treadmill, or outside. My quality of life has greatly improved.
