As a human being, I want to put human hormones in my body, not synthetic analogs or hormones synthesized from horse urine. It took a year for my prescriber and me to arrive at the right dosage for me, based on clinical results and lab tests. Only a custom compounded preparation offers this possibility which a one-dose-fits-most drug does not offer. Compounding pharmacies are an OPTION that health care providers and patients need. BHT has enhanced my life, possibly even saved it. The option to obtain this medication thru reputable regulated compounding pharmacies needs to continue as this kind of therapy is simply not available from large commercial pharmacies or giant pharmaceutical companies.

Hormones have decreased my chronic pain and improved my mood. Before starting hormones, I experienced a frozen shoulder which was one of the most painful experiences of my life. My doctor thought lack of hormones contributed to the development of that condition. Why in the WORLD would the FDA seek to restrict access to something that is beneficial to people? My guess would be because they are being lobbied to do so by companies who stand to benefit financially if the only option available to patients such as myself is the FDA approved option. Ridiculous and unethical.

Without my HCG injections, I get severe PMS symptoms days before my cycle starts. I feel so low, empty, and useless. Probably very close to depressive symptoms. Please do not take these resources away from patients in need.

Before starting hormone therapy, I had dozens of hot flashes daily, night sweats, insomnia, low libido and vaginal dryness that was leading to constant irritation. Before using this hormone therapy, I was suffering from fatigue, muscle aches (full body), mood swings, loss of appetite and memory loss. Since using the therapy, I've regained my appetite better memory retention and no longer have muscle aches. I tried to slowly reduce my therapy earlier this year but found I was right back where I started so I have need to stay on this type of treatment.
