I have been using bioidentical compounded hormones for 20 years. I began them right before my hysterotomy and after. My symptoms were debilitating. Different doctors put me on synthetic hormones and they did not help. I felt awful all the time. If I do not take them regularly I begin to have problems again: anxiety, extreme fatigue, and insomnia. It shows up in my hormone labs and affects my thyroid labs. They have greatly improved my quality of life. I cannot imagine not having them. The thought of not having it is disturbing. My body is very sensitive to medications. Without it, I would be left with no options.

cBHT has changed my life for the better. My family remembers the month I started them because they told me I was myself again. Without cBHT, I would need many other expensive prescriptions that have harmful side effects.

I have more energy, have lost weight, and my libido has increased which has strengthened my marriage.

BHRT has helped me in three situations, the first of which was nothing short of life-saving! After several years of testing for an unknown illness causing me to be in constant pain, exhausted, sleepless, and anxious, at the age of 44, I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was placed on Lyrica. My pain became manageable; however the other symptoms remained, PLUS, I noticed a delay in my response time while driving and trying to hold conversations with people. I almost wrecked the car twice. Since I REFUSED to choose disability or stop driving, I quit Lyrica. That stuff is pure, mind-numbing crap! Two different friends had recommended getting my hormones tested, so I decided to try it. My progesterone level was almost zero! My OBGYN tried to talk me into a Big Pharma Rx "Premarin" which contains pregnant horse (mare) urine. I was not going to put that into my body! I found a new doctor who understood my individual issue, and he prescribed my first BHRT compounded, plant-based progesterone. MY FIBROMYALGIA SYMPTOMS DISAPPEARED OVER A PERIOD OF ONLY TWO WEEKS! Eleven years later, and I am still symptom-free. As menopause quickly set in, I began using BHRT plant-based Estrodiol for hot flashes. It works wonderfully and I do not have a high risk for breast or ovarian cancer. Lastly, I am now also on a low dose of Nature-Thriod for hypothyroidism. When the Pharma manufacturer ceased production of it due to a temporary plant shut-down two years ago, the supply of Nature-Throid was depleated for most of that year. Thank God my compounding pharmacy was able to manufacture a replacement using the same ingredients. Taking away the freedom to choose BHRT from me would end my active life. I am maintaining good physical condition, working out several times each week, and I am still employed. I refuse to choose disability and I will NOT put inappropriate Big Pharma chemicals into my body. I have the ability to be in remission from Fibromyalgia with BHRT, so in short FDA, back off.

I no longer suffer from hot flashes or night sweats. I'm less irritable and less anxious.

There has been no downside to cBHT. I have only positives to report. In the beginning it was very pleasant to not be as affected by daily hormonal fluctuations. I was still menstruating, and had ridiculous cycles. In fact my whole life was ridiculous hormonal fluctuations, and the pelvic pain was unbearable at times. None of my friends, coworkers or family members had symptoms like mine. I will forever be grateful to the physician who prescribed cBHT and the compounding pharmacy. I see no reason for me not to continue with cBHT. I cannot imagine there is a good reason for the FDA to be messing around with the quality of my life.

I started using hormone cream two years ago. It helps with my perimenopause symptoms. I no longer have nightly hot sweats and I feel more balanced emotionally wise. It also has helped my sub clinical hypothyroid levels. I will continue to use this cream as I feel it helps tremendously with my perimenopause symptoms.

cBHT very quickly took away the pain of vaginal dryness and intercourse, my hot flashes went away, and I began to get better sleep. So many benefits. I was amazed. I don't know how I would be feeling if not taking this now. Not sleeping at night greatly increased my anxiety which caused other issues as well. This should be between a woman and her doctor. I started using the hormone replacement therapy because of the price difference. I would have had to pay over $300 a month to use the pill form suppository but now I only pay about $40 a month for the equivalent of the same thing in using the hormone replacement compound. Big difference and no difference!

BioIdentical hormone therapy saved my job. Prior to HRT, I was tired and I couldn't get out of bed. I was very forgetful, and being a medical billing specialist, I need to be able to think clearly. Compounded bioidentical hormones are NOT linked to cancer as some of the chemically (and other species type, such as horse urine) produced ones have been.

While others my age complain about aches, pains and lack of libido at 61, I'm not having an issue getting out of bed in the morning and don't have aches and pains. I still lead an active lifestyle and can keep up with guys 20 years younger.

I am unable to take a hormone replacement for menopausal symptoms currently on the market because of side effects. Going to a compound pharmacy has saved my sanity and my marriage! Please do not let them take away my right to choose a formula that works for me!
