cBHT eliminated menopausal symptoms while also eliminating any potential side effects of more common FDA approved meds. I am extremely happy with this treatment regimen and if my compounding pharmacy is forced to stop preparing this, I will refuse to take hormones produced by the large pharmaceutical companies.

cBHT has helped me keep my hormones in normal levels. The pharmacist gives me the opportunity to have my hormones checked every year and if she sees that the dosage needs to be changed, she talks with my doctor about it. I also use cBHT because the risks of side effects are less.

I had a medically necessary hysterectomy and oopherectomy at 25. I would not have been able to maintain healthy bone density and heart levels without bioidentical hormones. I'm 52 and have been using compound hormones now over a year. It is the best therapy I have been on. I had a total hysterectomy at age 35 and had been on multiple replacements. At age 48, I completed "natural" menopause using vitamins/herbs. 14 years ago, I read about BHRT, and located a compounding pharmacist to work with my OBGYN. After no problems in use for five years, I thought I would stop taking to see what happens. I had heart palpitations, hot flashes, mood swings and interrupted sleep return...ugh! I went to a cardiologist who put me through nuclear dye tests, monitoring, and stress tests. He diagnosed I have a healthy heart, and what lifestyle changes had I made? I told him about choosing to suddenly stop the BHRT. He declared, "Well, get back on it!" Within 10 days of returning to my routine, all listed symptoms went away! At age 68, my only prescriptions are Testosterone sublingual drops in the morning, and one tablet before bed with estradiol, estrogen, and progesterone. I don't take naps, haul/stack firewood, maintain my own house and yard, and still look at my husband with a "twinkle". My doctor says my lipid tests are better than his at age 40. Praise the Lord for materials that educate mature women about our endocrine system.

It saddens me that cost for a lot of women prevents them from choosing this type of hormone solution.
