In my late 40's early 50's I started to have depression anxiety issues. I began counseling and after many sessions without much results and terrible side effects form anti-depression drugs, my therapist suggested seeing a hormone specialist. I had a blood test done and my testosterone was very low. This explained my zero energy, no sex drive and massive drop in my ability to exercise. This all led to my depression as I had always been very active. My wife was struggling with me as I wasn't the man she married. After a couple changes of dosage in my testosterone cream, all my energy came back and my sex drive. The commercial grade testosterone didn't offer the dosage I needed. I've been on it for 10 years and my quality of life is so greatly improved, it scares me to think it could be taken away! This treatment saved my life.

At the age of 40, my body started going into menopause. Compounded hormone replacement therapy completely changed my life for the good. Stopped that menopause in its tracks. No more hot flashes, brain fog, weight gain. Increased sex drive, and energy. No more dry vagina or painful sex.
Then the insurance stopped covering. Jump forward seven years, if full on menopause, symptoms so bad I could barely function. My insurance would only cover crappy one size fits all HRT. After two months on an estrogen patch, a giant cyst was discovered in my right ovary. I immediately had to stop treatment. With no other options available. Inability to even have sex, it was too painful, and destroyed my marriage.

I am a 40 year old woman with low testosterone who started a testosterone compound cream (2mg) daily. It has increased my libido and energy which were both previously lacking. Testosterone helps to protect the breasts and heart as well and should not be removed from the market. I believe this med has helped decrease my bouts of severe irritability as well. Women's estrogen and testosterone levels decrease with age which affects quality of life. Why get rid of these meds which improve quality of life?

Not only is this a very painful condition when experienced, but since I am married to a much younger man my sex life would be in the toilet without this cream that I use vaginally. Please don't get in the way of letting consumers access this crucial medication by taking it off the market or making it unaffordable - PLEASE!

I have never liked conventional medicine and as soon as I started getting hot flashes I saw a holistic doctor for help. I have had amazing health and no side effects since, as the compounded hormones are created for exactly what my body requires. This was confirmed when I found out that regular hormones by a conventional doctor would have been too high for my body and would have been an overdose for me. I was told that the minimum dose of testosterone would be 200mg when my prescription is 0.1. Medicines etc. need to be created for each individual person and their needs and not just a blanket minimal dose for everyone. I have had great health ever since I was put on the BHRT.

Since 2015, I signed up with Longevity Clinic, and their staff physician, using Hormone Therapy. Along with supplements, diet change and exercise, I've dropped over 25 pounds. My sex life, though not as frequent, has improved substantially. I use the topical cream once a day, and have blood tests every two months to make sure everything is in balance, and so far the results have been consistent and stable with no ill effects whatsoever. Thankfully, I can afford the hormone therapy from a local pharmacy that I trust, and will continue using.

So I stopped using them at the recommendation of my doctor. A year later I began seeing a different doctor who prescribed bioidentical HRT or cBHT. My hot flashes disappeared and I began to sleep better. The best news is my osteopenia got better! My dexascan showed great improvement in bone density. I also appreciate that cBHT is plant based. Shame on Pfizer and their product, Premarin. I find the treatment of mares and their foals to make Premarin horrific and disgusting! Please give patients the choice of humane, effective, and beneficial HRT through the use of cBHT.
