It took Western medicine professionals 10 years to figure out how to treat my thyroid. It wasn't until I met a NP who specialized in bioidentical hormone balancing that we got on the right track. She explained that my condition is autoimmune and very difficult to treat/manage. She explained why the mainstream standard dosages of laboratory made thyroid medicines won't work for me no matter how many times they change the dosage. She switched me to cBHT and it was the game changer for me. It was when my kids were six and four and life was very busy. I needed all the help I could get to find energy, restore my gut biome, and get rid of terrible adult acne breakouts while trying to raise a family. cBHT did that for me. My life doesn't revolve around costly doctor's appts anymore, or the feeling of no one ever really knowing what was going on with me even though I had to keep paying them. cBHT solved the mystery for me, put me on the right track, and allowed me to fix myself so I could focus on what's really important...my kids and our family. I also live in a very small town in the midwest. We don't have access to a Walmart with even the most known OTC or generic meds. If cBHT were not available, it would be impossible for those of us in our area to get the medicines that we need. My thyroid will go bizerk again, the weight will go back on, the anxiety and depression will soon follow out of disgust for myself, and the medical bills will start going up again, as will the frustration that no one can help me anyway. The hopeless spiral will start all over again for myself and likely many others. Please don't throw our health away, or minimize our healthcare needs. It's our life we are talking about...not yours.

Without the compounded hormone replacement therapy, I was suffering from extreme joint pain, brain fog, insomnia, lack of sleep and weight gain. I was not able to achieve relief from these symptoms from the prescribed medications and the doses that were formulated by the FDA. I was initially given Premarin, the synthetic hormone that is made from horse urine and it put me at risk of an allergic reaction because it is on the list of things I tested positive for. I was happy to hear there was an alternative for this with the naturally compounded estriol, which is natural within my body but I don't produce enough of it. I have medical personal doctor advised reasons for needing use of this estrogen cream beyond menopause. I feel comfortable putting this in my body and not comfortable putting synthetic compounds in my body! It is interesting that this natural compounded estriol is not covered by insurance, but the synthetic brand Premarin is, despite it costing 3-4 times more. I choose to personally pay for my estriol. That is a whole other topic that this lower cost alternative should be covered.

cBHRT has been a godsend for me. I use a cBHRT balanced hormone cream, based on individual hormone levels, so it is not a one-size-fits-all. It does not originate from horse urine, I don't know who decided that should be the protocol for humans. I know that cBHRT has improved my quality of life, and my family's life. The cream is compounded specifically for each patient by compounding pharmacists. I am totally against the FDA outlawing cBHRT.

Taking progesterone and testosterone has greatly increased my quality of life. I am LEVEL. When not level, I suffer many symptoms of menopause. I wish I had this therapy in my thirties and forties! I have told my best friend about hormone therapy and she is a hard one to sell. She went and is now thankful she did. It is essential to keep this therapy available. Being imbalanced is a nightmare and this is such an effective, low risk medical breakthrough.

After menopause, there were uncomfortable issues which affected intimacy with my husband. My doctor had initially given me a prescription which was extremely expensive and was not covered by my insurance. Eventually, through a study at our local hospital, I was given a compound prescription, which, although still not covered by insurance, was a lot more reasonable in price. This has helped me and my marriage a lot. I would be extremely upset if this choice was taken away. It would definitely affect my quality of life.

I feel like myself again. No more migraine headaches, tiredness, fatigue, or weight gain. I feel great and don't need to be on any prescription medications.

This should be a person's choice - bioidentical hormones are compounded specific to the person based on bloodwork. Again, a person's choice. There are so many traditional drugs once approved by the FDA that are now causing cancer. Help us understand why they were approved in the first place.

Prior to cBHT, migraine headaches were occuring twice per week. Now I have maybe one a month.

I was experiencing many negative symptoms such as tiredness, depressed mood and light-headedness before taking bioidentical hormones. Now that I've been on this regimen for quite some time now, I feel like I have my life back. I have more energy and my overall health has greatly improved.

Without compounded BHT my health would be drastically and negatively affected. My primary care physician has been caring for me since 1994 but doesn't have a clue how to help women in their pre-menopausal and post-menopausal individually, simply because there are only one-size-fits-all medications at her disposal. A medical professional that uses a compounding pharmacy / pharmacist's has had specialized education and practice to correctly diagnose and prescribe medications that actually work for each individual. Please do not allow the FDA to interfere in the current status of compounding medications or pharmacies or pharmacists.

My Testosterone was zero and I had zero libido. This was very bad for my sex life. Since using testosterone cream, my sex life is so much more satisfying. I never want to go back. My significant other is much happier and feels like he can satisfy me. I am so thankful for compounding medications.
