The cream that I use is not available commercially. It has changed my life because a commercial medicine that I take causes loss of libido, but the testosterone cream changed my life. It is bioidentical which is the same form my body makes and does not have the horrible side effects that synthetic medications (made by the drug companies) have. The hormone capsules I used to take were also bioidentical and had much "cleaner" fillers in them.

I have used compounded hormone testosterone for 10 years now. Why? I have allergic reactions to the alcohol based medications as well as very high spikes with weekly injections. Compounding without alcohol has given me the best choice and the most consistent bloodwork for those 10 years. My endocrinologist has weighed and tried all options and found this to be the best choice for me.

I had successfully controlled my menopausal symptoms on cBHT for many years, but my new doctor insisted on changing me to Rx hormones simply because he did not believe in compounded. I took the FDA-approved Rx for one year under his care, while still suffering with daily symptoms. After a year, I changed to a new doctor, who was outraged by the ignorance of the previous doctor, and put me back on cBHT. I take them every day and have been been without symptoms (or side-effects) since. cBHT has better results than Rx hormones.

The testosterone cream helps with the constant irritation and strengthen the skin. It is very helpful to me and I hope someone who has no experience or knowledge of hormones replacement or the benefits is not determining if it will be taken away from people who do benefit.

It has prevented my pelvic organs from prolapse in my post-menopausal years. Prolapse and urinary incontinence runs in my family. It has also enhanced my 30 year marriage by being able to remain sexually active, now that women have to keep pace with viagra. Big Pharma will never be able to customize safe hormone replacement. Only compounding pharmacies can do that. Insurance should cover cBHT as a very effective preventive therapy, but we are forced to pay out of pocket for this most effective treatment.
