I am concerned about bone health as well as overall health. Only the compounded version of the hormone has given me the stability and therefore confidence in my treatment. I have used it for a long time now and appreciate that it is tailored to exactly what I need in the form that is easiest for me to use. I no longer fear that I am being over or under-replaced and do not have to worry now about constant testing and doctor visits.
There should be no reason to eliminate this very helpful and benign treatment that helps so many people.

I am very thankful for the option that I have had to go this direction in compounding my hormone needs. I did not want to take a synthetic brand because I have had cancer issues in my family members. Breast cancer. This is something that many deal with, including me. I would hope we would always have a choice. I see no reason to remove this option. Especially since we pay out of pocket. It has helped me greatly.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 13+ years ago when I lost the sight in one of my eyes. The eyesight returned, but not to normal level. Two years later I experienced another MS attack, and 'lost' first my left leg, then my right leg - i.e. I had no control of my legs. Over some months I gained control back, but not fully. Then I started Estriol/Progesterone treatment, in a form of compounded cream applied on the inner arms. I have not had another MS attack since then -- i.e. 11 years attack free thanks to the compounded hormone.

I could not have the great quality of life I enjoy if it weren't for compounded hormones. They help keep me, my nails, hair, skin, etc. in great shape and will prolong my life and activities.

cBHT had saved my life! A year ago I was stressed, anxious, exhausted and depressed. My primary doctor told me that I was "just getting old" and there was nothing I could do about it. I kept doing my research and found a wonderful doctor that specializes in hormones. Now, I feel happy and healthy and no longer depressed and moody. My weight has dropped down to my usual weight. It is sad that cBHT is not covered by my insurance, because that means it is not affordable for most people.

Now, post menopause, hormone replacement has had the greatest positive impact on my osteoporosis and hypertension of all the therapies I have tried, including weight training. In addition to helping reduce my bone loss, it has returned me to a balanced metabolism and emotional state; a high quality life. I started on compounded bioidentical hormone therapy in 2005 when I had my hysterectomy. I am still on them today and plan to be on them for a lot longer. Not only do they help my physical well-being, but my mental well-being! I truly cannot imagine not having access to them. They have worked incredibly well for me. I am a believer: if it is not broken, don't fix it! I moved and travel to visit my doctor once a year. He is both a fabulous doctor but also my prescriber. I am healthy, strong and thriving... please do not take away compounded bioidentical hormone therapy!

I started BHT in 2004 at age 52. My anti-aging physician monitored my hormones carefully and made recommendations. At age 59 I was able to donate my kidney to my 29 year old son and save his life. I have the kidney(s) of a 30 year old according to the nephrologists at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. I also donated three rounds of stemcells which were also given to my son at the time of his transplant as part of an NIH study. I was able to do all of this because my BHT built me up at a time in my life when most women are aging. I have bone scans that show +5 +6 +3 bone density, I am on no medication except the BHT. My blood pressure is 100/60. I do yoga every day and walk two-three miles several times a week. I am now 66 years old. I look 10-15 years younger than I am. I know these hormones make a huge difference and prevent ailments in older people.

I had a total hysterectomy in 2005 at age 44. Not a single doctor explained the ramifications that the loss of natural hormone production would have on me mentally or physically. I tried prescribed FDA approved hormones through my primary doctor and gynecologist (Premarin, etc.) but continued to experience chronic systemic inflammation, chronic insomnia, profuse am/pm sweats, muscle loss, chronic weakness and fatigue which eventually lead to a nervous breakdown and suicide attempts. HRT has restored me and given me back my life. I don't know where I'd be without it.
