I have osteopenia and have been taking bioidentical hormones for 17 years, which I feel is safer than the FDA approved synthetic hormones. If I had not taken I would have osteoporosis and be unable to walk. We need these hormones!

I am a breast cancer survivor. When I entered menopause almost 15 years ago, my OBGYN started me on Premarin and then added Prem-Pro a year later. After taking Premarin and Prem-pro for almost two years, I developed metastatic breast cancer. After several surgeries, chemo, and radiation, I have been cancer-free for over six years. After my life-changing experience with breast cancer, I had debilitating hot flashes, night sweats, decreased libido, vaginal dryness, and my husband was about to ask for a divorce. After a visit with my local compounding pharmacist who consulted with my OBGYN, Oncologist, and Radiational Oncologist, my compounding pharmacist created a compound with Natural Estriol, Progesterone, and testosterone. This combination of hormones has been a lifesaver for me, my body, and my marriage. If these "life-saving" medications are taken away from me, I do not know what I would do. My life as I know it would be over.
I beg you, do not take away my access to my hormones.

When I started cBHT, I was no longer angry at the world, (mood stabilized) and i became nice again. My concentration improved, my skin became less dry, and my frequent headaches improved. I have had zero negative side effects. Why take these meds that have greatly improved my quality of life away from me? I would strongly suggest that the FDA regulate vitamins and herbal supplements first and then move on to cBHT at the end of infinity when you finally complete this process. Please, for once, do what works for the constituents of our great nation instead of self-serving politicians and lobbyists from pharmaceutical companies that oppose the use of cBHT. By the way, I am a registered nurse and am well aware of methods used by pharmaceutical companies to encourage use of their medications. Maybe use the dollars used as perks to physicians, large bonuses and free trips for pharmaceutical representatives on research instead.
