I have used compounded hormones under medical supervision and periodic blood test for over 10 years and I remain convinced that my good health is due in pat to the hormone replacement therapy I have used.

“Hormone therapy changed my life! I experienced the worst of ...”
Hormone therapy changed my life! I experienced the worst of the worst symptoms of menopause and went from doctor to doctor who never treated the cause of my problems until I got on these hormones. It has restored my general health, ability to sleep, vitality, sex life, and averted what I'm sure would have been much higher medical costs for other conditions that were avoided through hormone replacement. Any legislator evaluating this should consider how she or he would feel having those things taken away from them and not attempt to restrict the rights of their voters to such basic necessities of life. If every woman of a certain age were taking hormone therapy, I'm convinced it could help reign-in Medicare costs considerably.

“I began using BHRT in about 2004 for premenopausal symptoms ...”
I began using BHRT in about 2004 for premenopausal symptoms such as night sweats (which caused interrupted sleep and overall drop in quality of life) and bone loss. BHRT began to keep those things on hold and even improving many of those symptoms. In 2009 I discovered I had a BRCA mutation and opted for mastectomy and oophorectomy, rendering me into immediate, full blown menopause including all of the associated symptoms. My doctor and I (against some of the misguided mainstream advice) quickly adjusted my dosing and, once again, raised my quality of life by restoring uninterrupted sleep, improving immune function and bone loss. I've actually started to turn the osteoporosis in the hip into osteopenia and the spine and neck from osteopenia into normal levels. Twice over the past 15 years a doctor insisted I try the "FDA approved" patch which caused my legs to swell and was very difficult to apply and use. I never want to be without my BHRT, especially now with Covid 19, when sleep is imperative to overall health and immunity.

I suffered from severe urinary tract symptoms, but urinalysis and cultures never showed signs of infection. A compounded Rx of atropine, estradiol and testosterone got rid of all of my symptoms. Twice I tried to lessen the quantity of the vulvar cream I use and the UTI symptoms returned. I can never be without this product. I am not sure how I could function without it.

I use a compounded cream for post menopausal dryness that caused extreme discomfort. The cream eliminates the problem without causing a rise in blood levels of estrogen, which is prohibited for me as a breast cancer survivor.

I have been searching for over seven years to find answers to my chronic pain/nerve/muscular health condition. After numerous doctors I finally found an amazing doctor who has changed my quality of life. If not for traditional pharmacology along with compounded medications, I would be suffering. I am able to be a good mom and wife. I use this medication every day and it is necessary for the treatment of my disease.

Between Interstitial Cystitis, Vulvodynia, IBS and Fibromyalgia, and finding the best physicians in the county, I have been very fortunate to be with advance technology and their use of compounded hormone therapy in cream and injection forms. I tried all of the traditional methods and with a combination of both, I am living a much better quality of life. The pain subsides and I can go out and appear like a very healthy woman. I also can exercise more and function better. My Urologist and Vulvodynia Specialists have told me to see me that I don't look like I have any problems.

I had suffered with vaginal itch for 12 years. After seven doctors, I was finally treated with compound BHRT. What a difference this treatment has made in my life. Please do not put restrictions on medication that saved my sanity.

Without my cBHT, my life would not be a happy one. I would not be able to enjoy a healthy sex life with my husband without having burning pain and discomfort. It's important in life to be able to have and enjoy a healthy sex life. No matter your age. I'm 75!

Using compounded a BHRT cream has reduced my pain and discomfort in my vulva area. I would hate to see its availablity limited by a government agency. My doctor takes a very prudent approach when prescribing it for me.

“I had a complication during my pregancy which resulted in tr...”
I had a complication during my pregancy which resulted in tracking my CA125 marker. It was erratically high and prompted my gynecologist to recommend a hysterectomy. I resisted and he persisted. In listening to my concerns he suggested hormone replacement therapy. As our conversation progressed, the best choice for me was the bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. I had the procedure and started the therapy and am in good health because of it, under the direction of a prescribing physician.
I have worked with three different compounding pharmacists since my hysterectomy. They have eached impressed me with thier professionalism, commitment, and deep knowledge, above the traditional pharmacist. My compounding pharmacists are in regular contact with my physician, as partners in my healthcare. I would not be in the good healthy place that I am in today without the support of my compounding pharmacist. It would be a terrible predicament to lose my compounding pharmacist's support. Traditional medications for my needs are not the appropriate option. I pay out of pocket for my compounded BHT and don't understand why these carefully compounded, and regulated medications are not covered under traditional health plans.

This is an important part of the ongoing partnership with doctor. The access to BHRT from my local compounding pharmacy is essential to my getting it in a timely manner with the ability to obtain it locally from people I trust. To take this away from small businesses to help large corporations is bad optics and bad business. My community of around 500,000 people on social media will be told of your vote. I do not get into politics, but this is not politics, this is personal.

My hormones were so out of wack that my body was becoming allergic to anything and everything. I was vomiting every day, and my entire body was swelling/inflamed. I was getting larger/swelling more every day, even eating very little because I couldn't keep stuff down. I had just started this two months ago, and adjustments will be needed, but I have not gotten sick since my hormone levels are balancing. I beg you not to take this away because I would not have a life worth living if I returned to my life before this medicine.

I take compounded T3 for my thyroid, which was damaged/destroyed by radioactive iodine for the autoimmune disease Graves. I don't know where I would be without this medicine. No one else would prescribe it. And it's made timed release just for me.

“I suffer from a condition that causes the opening of my vagi...”
I suffer from a condition that causes the opening of my vagina to be extremely sore. It not only interferes with sexual intimacy with my husband, but it hinders my overall quality of life. The discomfort would be unbearable if I didn't have my compounded hormone therapy. My vulva and vaginal area are super sensitive and I have to be careful with the soap, menstrual products, and even toilet paper I use. To have to worry that I may lose access to the medicine that allows me to have intimacy and walk and exercise without genital discomfort is very upsetting! It's stressful to have this condition, but with my compounded hormone therapy, I'm given the relief I need to live my life and not think about my condition every day. It's been so wonderful for me and my husband. I'm so grateful that this medicine exists. Thank you for your time.

I was not able to have sex with my husband due to extreme pain. My body stopped making enough hormones in my 40's. If I had not found a doctor who knew to prescribe these creams my marriage would not have lasted. I would be divorced right now and still in pain.
