When I began perimenopausal symptoms, I couldn't sleep due to hot flashes. Bioidentical hormones saved my ability to sleep as well as enhanced my health in other ways. Most people say I look 10 to 15 years younger, which I believe is mostly due to the hormone therapy. I have used the hormones for nine years, and feel extremely happy with them. I do not believe the artificial hormones that the pharmaceuticals offer would be benificial, and most likely would be harmful. They would definitely be more expensive.

I have been using cBHT for 20 years after a hysterectomy, and breast cancer. I feel it has greatly improved my quality of life. I feel that I am not suffering like other women on synthetic hormones. I know I am getting the exact dose my body needs in a form and with ingredients I can easily and properly absorb. I would never trust any other form other than compounded and the thought of it being taken away from me and so many is devastating.

I can't imagine what I would do without my progesterone cream - pills did nothing to stop the hot flashes and the mood swings. For two plus years I did not sleep for longer than one and a half hours in a row. Then I found a doctor that prescribed the hormone creams - and three months later I slept. I now sleep eight hours straight and feel like a 30 year old again! Hormone creams do work and are needed.

My doctor has adjusted the dose three times in a year to be sure I am getting just what I need and no more. PLEASE DO NOT remove these from the available treatments for people like me. I do not feel poisoned like I would on many of the pharmaceutical treatments for osteoporosis with their nasty side effects and huge cost.
