When I reached menopause, my hot flashes were unbearable. I would have anywhere from 6-10 hot flashes an hour. I worked in an office, and had to buy a portable A/C to use near me to keep me comfortable. It was so embarrassing when I would sweat profusely when seeing my patients or clients. I tried using natural products for approximately 1.5 years. I finally gave in and wanted something that was as natural as I could find. My gynecologist recommended HRT, and started me on compounded estrogen. It has greatly improved my daily life. I no longer have hot flashes or wake up drenched in sweat. I have no more issues with sweating when meeting with patients or clients. It has helped me SO much. I couldn't imagine having to go back to not having access to these hormones anymore. I pay out of pocket for this medication, and am happy to do that, since my insurance doesn't pay for it.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
