“Saved my sanity!”

Nine yrs ago I started having menopause symptoms. I went to a recommended Dr, who treated me like every other woman walking in the door. He prescribed doses too high for my body. I took what he prescribed and within 2 weeks my clothes were tight, yet i had not gained weight. I became very bloated. I didn’t feel “right”. I went to another Dr covered by insurance. She did the same - prescribed doses like everyone else. I ended up in the emergency room with ruptured ovarian cyst! I stopped all HRT. I became very depressed, anxious, frustrated, angry and emotional. I felt crippled with exhaustion, because i could not sleep thru the night. I awoke every 1-2 hrs with hot flashes. I wanted to crawl under a rock and not be alive. At the end of my rope, my Chiropractor told me about a Naturopath an hour away from me. This Naturopath treated ME. She did not get out her list given to everyone else. She read my blood work, I told her (just like I told the other Drs) that i respond to low doses of supplements/vitamins and that I want the lowest amount possible. She heard me! I am taking “crumbs” of what other people take and that is what works for me. For instance, I only need .25 mg of estrogen, 125 mg progesterone and .5 mg testosterone. My Dr is a true miracle! Listen Doctors, please LISTEN to your patients! I have been balanced for the past 4-5 yrs. I am happy, healthy, weigh 115 lbs, A1C is 5.3 - a shining star for a healthy post menopausal woman!!
I do not know why you would ever consider taking away a woman’s choice to take bio-identical hormones. It is my body. It is my money. It is my choice.
