Recently prescribed testosterone/progesterone topical cream

In February of this year, at almost 50 years old, I had robotic surgery - a full hysterectomy, and full excision of stage 4 endometriosis that went undiagnosed my whole adult like until just two years ago. For years, among other things, intercourse caused me pain. My husband was always hesitant while we were intimate because he was afraid to hurt me. Fast forward to after the surgery, and I was prescribed an estrogen patch. But despite that, my libido was gone. Here are both my husband and I, eager to enjoy intimacy with no pain, but now after waiting all that time, I had no desire. My Naturopath prescribed me a topical progesterone/testosterone cream and it has been a savior for our sex life! My libido is back! Not only has it helped our sex life but it has also helped keep me regulated so my feelings, emotions, and vitals stay in check. I would be devastated if I could no longer have this topical medication compounded.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
