“Post Menopause Woes”

After menopause I lost the ability to have intimacy with my spouse . There was shame, anger and a complete lack of any information or education. I was "old" now this is what "happens" you get dry and shrivel up. I became withdrawn, depressed, fat and cranky. I was extremely physically uncomfortable the majority of the time in my groin area. The relationship with my husband deteriorated and he left the marriage. I felt useless, filled with shame, and lifeless.
Then I found a skilled provider that specializes in sexual health it was a last ditch effort to attempt to get my marriage back. that provider informed me that my life did not have to be this way. My body underwent changes that can be addressed. Enter compounded hormone therapy, I thought yea right.
Well yea right!! After a few weeks I began to feel better. Physically my body began to come back alive in comfort and desires, the depression began to lift I felt useful again. I reached out to my husband who say the changes in me. "I am like the "old" me only better
Hormone therapy changed my life and it can change the lives of other women that have been conditioned to think like I did. Let' s stay out of that stinkin thinkin because we have a chance now with cBHT and to lose that avenue would be devastating not only to me but to other women like me.
