At 47 I studied every path I could to resolve my menopause symptoms. I was miserable and could barely function. Thanks to bioidentical hormone therapy I am living a full life now. No more fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, anger, mood swings, headaches, cramping, etc… Before compounded hormones, I could barely hold down my job and my fiancé was miserable. I now have the energy to work, work out 5 times a week, and be a happier person. I recommend natural hormone therapy to anyone who complains of menopause symptoms. They really saved me! Please don’t ban these products!!!

In 1992 I had a hysterectomy which took all of my hormones out of the picture, I was only 46....then I went on estrogen pill Premarin therapy. The doctor put me on it immediately and then I started reading up on what side effects it had and I was so upset that I had signed up for that! My mom was also on the therapy and she had most of the problems listed in the small print including Uterine Cancer and breast issues and blood clots. I had to do something to save myself from blood clots, heart problems, and cancer. I was able to find a Naturopathic physician who prescribed taking bio-identical estrogen cream which combines estrogen/progesterone and is applied on the skin. The compounding of this and DHEA cream has saved me from becoming a grumpy, dried up, foggy, muscle-less, wrinkled mess and now I am 75 and feeling great still. Please don't take away the meds we women need that don't cause me any side effects at all just the happiness that we deserve after giving up our ovaries. I still ride a bike, walk, work out, and keep my weight down.

I started going through menopause at age 39. After years of research and discussions with my primary care physician and specialists about what type of HRT to use along with the pros and cons, I elected to go with bio-identical hormones years later in 2004. I chose this method of Hormone Replacement Therapy because I felt they were the safest for my body and gave me what my body ACTUALLY NEEDED, vs. taking a generic pill prescribed by my doctor that wouldn't have exactly what my body needed. Since then my quality of life has improved greatly and that's why I continue to use them and hope to do this throughout the remainder of my years here on earth!

Many Doctors feel that HRT is only needed while you are "symptomatic" for a season of time for something obvious like hot flashes, which is what my primary care physician told me.

However, properly prescribed HRT should be an option for people as an ongoing benefit throughout the aging process as men and women find a decline in these hormones as we age. HRT benefits memory, poor sleep, sexual desire, etc. When our hormones are in balance, we feel better, and shouldn't that be our goal to live as healthy of a life as is possible for as long as we can?

Menopause has a lot of awful symptoms. After hormone therapy, my hot flashes disappeared. Both my headaches and dry eyes left. I have had no adverse effects at all while taking hormones. They have only improved my health and well-being.

Compounded hormones keep me balanced both mentally and physically. They improve my sleep, prevent brain fog, and help with overall vitality. I’m sure there are days that I couldn’t function at work without the compounded hormones. These hormones are prepared for me by a compounding pharmacy with my physician’s prescriptions, based on my individual hormone levels. I have no need for one size fits all from the pharmaceutical companies.

The prescription dosage on both my bio-identical estrogen and testosterone creams prescribed to me by my doctor are only available through a compounding pharmacist.
To take anything else would be detrimental to my health. I trust my doctor and my compounding pharmacist. I do not want to take any additional dosage that is not necessary and therefore compounding pharmacists are VITAL.

After a radical hysterectomy because of cancer, I was struggling with the SEVERE menopausal symptoms. My mental health was very poor.
I was placed on HRT which helped with some of my symptoms….I could function. After a while, my doctor started discussing their concern about HRT’s link to cancer and wanted me to know that I couldn’t be on HRT much longer. I started to panic. I knew I would not be able to function in my job, my personal life, or my home life if I had to go back to living without the relief I got from HRT.
Thankfully a friend directed me to a clinic that offered a “non-cancer promoting” compounded hormone therapy. It changed my life!!! I no longer have to worry about being denied HRT, I have relief from ALL of my symptoms, and I no longer have to stress about my medicine giving me cancer. Please do not allow the FDA to take away my access to effective, non-cancer-producing medicine.

I took the standard-of-care thyroid hormone prescription for years. It was not very effective and eventually stopped working for me altogether. I feel much better since I have been taking compounded thyroid hormones. Without this compounded hormone therapy, my quality of life would plummet. I would be effectively disabled and could no longer be a contributing member of society.

I have only been on my replacement hormone therapy for approximately three months and already I feel such a difference. It is so important for me to have this available compound hormone therapy. I only wish I had started them earlier. I no longer have post-menopausal symptoms and I feel amazing. This is so important for so many people. We as Americans have the right to this treatment and we deserve it. This form of therapy is an absolute must-have for many many people and should be preserved.

Since starting cBHT my life has been so much better. My mood swings and underlying feelings of depression and anxiety have disappeared. My fitness level has improved, and my health (build/BP/etc.) has improved. I have been on cBHT for over 5 years and see this as a very positive life improvement.

I am going through horrible menopause. I tried the conventional medicine, and I had no success in relieving any of my symptoms. Hot flashes, not sleeping, irritability and headaches.
I am now on natural progesterone, pregnenolone and estrogen. The relief came immediately. I have 100% faith in my doctor and the compounding pharmacy. The FDA has no right and is overstepping to threaten our compounded pharmacies and our rights as patients.

I have taken compounded hormones for 15 years and feel they are necessary to my well-being. Since they are bio-identical, they do not pose a significant risk to the artificial ones. Also, they are adjusted to my body conditions. Not a 1 size fits, which it never does.

I am a 78-year-old female and have been using bio-identical compounded hormones for over 20 years. I would surely be dead by now without them. I use estrogen, testosterone, pregnenolone, progesterone, oxytocin, and DHEA to balance my levels, keep me feeling younger, more energetic, and active, and ensure my quality of life is at the best level it can be. I can speak for myself and many others who have trusted compounding pharmacies to provide me with the healthiest forms of hormone replacement available. The removal or discontinuation of this supply chain would mean certain death at worst or quality of life decline for so many. I see it as a travesty that it is even being considered to eliminate and ban this life-changing therapy!!! PLEASE STOP this MADNESS about banning them!!!

I appreciate the ability of a compounding pharmacy to tailor my prescriptions to my individual needs that otherwise could not be met by a traditional pharmacy.

My progesterone troches relieve my anxiety whenever it pops up. A symptom of peri menopause for me.

Do not take away a valuable treatment that is helping millions

After much research and trying regular HRT, (which did not help me at all) I finally found cBHT, vastly improving my quality of life. Before I started cHRT, my Hormones used all low and my Progesterone was practically nonexistent. I was completely run down and unable to have any decent quality of life. My mother had horrible osteoporosis and died after complications caused by it. Since I have been on cBHT I have always had excellent bone density test results and my health has significantly improved. Without them, I fear I would lose all of this because I would not want to risk the side affects and possible cancers that have been proven to be caused by the only other options out there.

I fear I will develop the same horrible osteoporosis that my mother had which will not only shorten my life but, in the immediate future, also lose my quality of life without them. Please do not pass any legislation against them. Please hear ALL the evidence for them.

I have been using natural hormones since I was 54 and now 75 years old. I have excellent health and use no pharmaceutical drugs. When I tell them how old I am, many people can't believe that I am 75. I have had no adverse reaction to the natural hormones as opposed to my brother-in-law who took pharmaceutical testosterone and almost died because it thickened his blood so much. I know other people who are taking natural hormones and none of them have had any adverse reaction.

If it wasn't for the compounding pharmacy " Creative Scripts" my cat "Lola" would be a very sick cat. She was out of her thyroid medicine since 3-18-22 and UPS didn't deliver my 1-2 day special order to be delivered Monday 3-21-18!! My vet called Creative Scripts, Friday 3-25-22 and they said they could make her medicine and had it ready the same day!! Saved my cats life.

This is absolutely a necessary part of my well-being to keep a healthy, balanced, pain-free life. My energy, back pain, fertility, and overall happiness depends on this. Please don’t take it away!
