Compounded bioidentical hormone therapy has changed me from being tired, unable to think straight (brain fog), no libido to energized, clear headed, and a strong sex drive. I was unable to tolerate birth control pills as hormone replacement because I have a history of migraines and blood clots when I take them. They contain medroxyprogesterone, which tends to cause those issues. But my bone density was so poor that I started on compounded estrogen and progesterone and I have had no problems. Not only has it improved my bone density significantly, but also my sleep quality and clarity of mind. I have great confidence in my compounding pharmacist. They are very knowledgable. Please do not impede their ability to treat people like me.

Please, please do not take away my compounded hormones. I have been on them in one form or another for years and they have helped greatly with my perimenopause and now are helping me with menopause. Yes, I have tried some FDA-approved hormones and have always gone back to the compounded hormones. The FDA-approved hormones that I have used in the past seemed like they had unnatural dyes in them. I try to avoid dyes and I am shocked that they would dye a hormone pill bright orange or make a suppository blue! And without going into too much detail, I have had unpleasant adverse reactions to one in particular FDA-approved hormone. I will not go back to using it again. I think I would rather go hormone-free before I would use that one again. On the flip side, I have not had ANY adverse reactions to compounded hormones nor do they add colors unnecessarily. To sum it up, I MUCH prefer compounded hormones vs. unnatural FDA-approved hormones. The compounded hormones just work better for me!

I have had a low libido since my second child was born in 2001. I regularly blamed it on raising children and lack of sleep until a practitioner checked my hormone levels and found low T. I also developed lichen sclerosus around the same time. Using pellets improved my libido and gave me my third child, but didn't help my lichen sclerosus. I didn't use hormone replacement again until 2020. My low libido was causing more tension in my long term relationship, complicated by my dyspareunia. Adding compounded testosterone cream has helped my libido and my lichen sclerosus simultaneously. I am very thankful it's available!

My hot flashes decreased dramatically, and my brain function (memory, logic, thinking, planning, etc) improved dramatically. I was prescribed the "drug" Premarin, but upon research, I discovered a 25% chance of breast cancer. No thank you. I much prefer to have something compounded that matches my own biology! I do not believe our bodies do well with most "drugs".

My prescription for compounded hormones has been adjusted once in 15 years, as they have kept my estrogen levels beautifully stable. To not have my compounded hormone would present a major QOL issue. My compounded hormones are essential to my well-being.

I had endometriosis and a complete hysterectomy at the age of 27. After that I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and due to synthetic drugs, I suffer from rumotoid arthritis. I also had a car wreck that damaged my spine. My compound meds make a world of difference with my pain, mental clarity, mood and overall well being. I would not be living if it wasn't for this wonderful medication. Synthetic drugs only mask the problems where compound ones replace what your body produces in the first place. Please do not stop the pharmacies from offering these. I have taken many other ones that have brought me back from the dead when conventional doctors gave me synthetic drugs that only cause side effects in my body. All the alternative doctors have great values and aren't in it for the money. They are there for the person to get well.

The standard pill form gave me many unwanted side effects such as digestion problems, bloating, lethargy, and jitters. The compounded Bi-Est HRT cream had absolutely no side effects and I have plenty of energy and feel so much better than on the standard pill therapy. Please do not restrict the compounded therapy. It works!

Because of fibroid tumors, my ovaries and uterus were removed around age 40. I was given hormone patches, but the effect of the drop in hormones was devastating. For years I did not function and did not care about anything. My sister noticed the difference and suggested additional hormone therapy and set me up with doctors in my area who implanted hormone pellets. I was immediately more energized, and had excitement and stability in my life. After calculating how many implantations I would have over the course of my life, I switched to bioidentical lozenges. Hormones provide mental and emotional stability as well as increased physical fitness. All I have to do is miss several doses or look at others my age that are not on hormone therapy, to see the huge difference that health hormones make in my life.

Hormone replacement therapy has positively impacted my life in ways I never knew possible. I began HRT at the age of 25 because of low progesterone. My symptoms included panic attacks, feelings of sadness, and extreme anxiety that I could not understand. After my doctor tested my hormone levels from a saliva test, she discovered my progesterone levels were low. She put me on a small dose of progesterone cream and I feel like a completely brand new person. I don't cry or feel anxious. I got my life back. Please do not take these away.
