Before cBRT, I felt as if my mind was functioning underneath a heavy blanket- simple thought processes and calculations often seemed slowed WAY down, or sometimes seemed like I couldn't find the thought at all. It was worrying, tedious, and I started to feel hopeless. I also watched my body lose its ability to perform easy tasks: my morning jog became painful and eventually so slow that I had to just walk; daily routines started to be really hard and slow. My skin got thinner and prone to injury, my hair started falling out and became really dry, and shockingly, my once robust sexual appetite and response completely evaporated. Aside from losing all interest in sex, I started to feel apathetic about people I loved and cared for. Once I got my hormones optimized with expert guidance from a well-trained doctor, all the lights came back on! I literally felt like a switch was flipped on, the blanket was removed, and all my usual abilities to think, move, and feel sexy restored. I can't imagine a life without cBRT. To live in that former state would be deeply depressing.

When I miss taking my hormones, it affects my mood and energy level. Ask the people at my office and they will tell you it definitely is better when I take my hormones. Also it has kept me from bone density loss.

I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 32 due to Stage 4 endometriosis. Because of the endo - I ended up having, in addition to the complete hysterectomy, a partial bowl resection, left ureter replacement and a nephrectomy of my left kidney. I was unable to save an egg to save my chance in hopes to become a mom. Without the bioidentical hormone therapy, I would not be as healthy as I am today and as a female all aspects of being a female (skin, hair, etc..) and quality of life would have been severely impacted if I had to go straight into "full menopause" at such a young age. PLEASE FDA do not take away the remaining awesome years from me. I have already experienced enough emotional and physical trauma. My hormones are what keeps me feeling like a "female" and normal.

After I had a hysterectomy I was prescribed a pill. The medication by mouth made me nauseous and feel bad. I felt so off balance I couldn't tell if it was helping or not. With a family history of hypertension and heart disease, the potential side effects were disturbing as well. I tried the injectable, which I was satisfied with but it was only a viable option when I had someone to administer it. Since I changed to the compound cream, I am extremely satisfied. It greatly reduces my worst symptoms of malaise, body dryness, irritability, and hot flashes. I feel calm, cool and with overall better health. It is 10 seconds of quick absorbing magic.

I was having typical post-menopausal symptoms that were very unpleasant. I DID NOT want to take synthetic hormones comprised of horse pee and possibly worse ingredients. I prefer to take no medications at all if possible, but the compounded medications don't contain those substances and are more natural. They have been working very well for me and I don't want to go without them even though insurance won't cover them. I'm willing to pay out of pocket for them because I feel they are safer and I don't want to add to Big Pharmaceutical companies bottom line.
