It has significantly helped my bones, my skin, my tissue, and my mood. My marriage would not be the same without my bioidentical hormone therapy. I look healthier than a lot of 66 year old women. My husband is also taking bioidentical homones. Why would anyone want to take hormones that are not the normal chemical configuration that our body made when they can take a bioidentical hormone that is chemically structured like their own hormone. Big Pharma can't make a fortune off of the biodentical hormone because it cannot be patented, so they want to create more customers by taking away a good compounded medication that helps so many. Shame on the FDA!

The bioidentical hormones have enhanced my life. I am sensitive to medications so getting the right mix of more natural hormones for me is important. Most regular prescriptions do not have the right mix for me. The hormone levels differ from person to person. Please do not restrict bioidentical hormones.

I started to notice that I was not quite feeling like myself. I was very irritable, being very short with my family, having hot flashes at night and therefore not sleeping well. I typically am not an over emotional person, however, I was noticing that I could cry at almost anything! On top of all of this my periods were becoming more frequent, happening more like every 21 days instead of 28 to 30 days (which was normal for me in years past). I feel more comfortable with not having a period every three weeks, this also has helped with being able to be more intimate with my husband. I can honestly say this has been a life changer, please do not take the accessibility of this away from not only me but for the sake of my family as well.

Due to having my thyroid gland oblated I needed to have testosterone replacement. I choose the compounded cream for its convenience. I'd hate to have to live without it (I know what it's like when my Rx runs out and there is a delay in the arrival of the new Rx. It is dreadful!) My dosage and levels are checked frequently to make sure things are as they should be so I am very comfortable using the compounded form.

Do not place restrictions on these pharmacists or the bioidentical hormones. I have suggested BIH to many people with great success. We women need bioidentical hormones! Please do not mess up a good thing. My BIH are vital to my well-being. I never leave home without them and my husband will completely agree. We don't want to go back to the awful situation we were in. Please for my sanity and sake of my family, please do not place restrictions on bioidentical hormones. There is no reason to. They are safe and natural. There are other areas for the FDA to focus on that are more important. Our BIH are fine as they are!

I have used cBHT progesterone and thyroid (T3) to counteract the effects of anemia due to heavy periods during pre -menopause and low thyroid levels. They have directly met my medical needs, and they are an important part of my treatment plan. As a veterinarian, I am aware of their use not only in human medicine, but also veterinary medicine. Compounding allows precise amounts of medicine to be given because the prescriptions are specific to the patient, instead of a range of patients like other prescription medications. Also, bioidentical hormones are important because, in order to patent new drugs, an addition is made to the hormone to make it significantly different enough to patent, but not so different that it can't be used for its traditional purpose. This addition can mean that it doesn't work as well, or more of the drug is required for effect. I don't want any more of any drug than is absolutely necessary in my body, so cBHT is the best way to do that. Please do not take away this avenue of treatment for my conditions.

I started compounded HRT at age of 38 when became premenopausal. I am 41 and needed a total hysterectomy. I have been taking compounded HRT since. I do not want to stop compounded HRT! My life is better without menopausal symptoms.

Go out and speak with people currently asking you to not take compounded medications away from them. You will hear some amazing stories of improved quality of life!

This has totally helped my life. After about eight years on it, I decided I might not need it anymore. So for about eight months I went off it.
