I think I was completely misdiagnosed for years as being depressed, tired, etc. with no sleep and more. When my levels were tested, they were at zero for all three hormones. Since being on them, my quality if life has increased exponentially. I cannot imagine what life would be like without them. I wish I had known 15 years earlier. I am 68 and have been taking them for two years.

I started when I was perimenopausal and took it all the way through menopause and beyond. I had the easiest menopause in history. I never had a single hot flash. I only had mood swings when I ran out of my Rx. I continue to use it because my MD tells me it is the single best thing I can do for my bone health to combat the osteoporosis. I've been hoping insurance would start to cover this after so many years and so much success. I am APPALLED that the FDA is considering banning this highly helpful NATURAL treatment that every adult should be using and will need at some point in their life.

Before I found this bioidentical therapy, I felt terrible! I had night sweats, hot flashes, restless leg syndrome, skin issues, weight gain, hair loss, bone ache, fatigue, brain fog (like ADD) and lack of desire to do much of anything. After finding a doctor that specialized in bioidentical HRT. After a routine blood test I found out the reason I felt horrible was due to my estradiol levels and progesterone levels being at 0.1! My testosterone was at 3. Not one week after being on the therapy, I felt amazing. No more issues. I sleep great, my joints do not hurt, my skin stopped itching and I was finally able to lose the 35 pounds I had gained. My hair is growing back and my skin is starting to look better too. My libido is back to normal and my zest for life and activity level is through the roof like it used to be. I am a personal trainer and yoga teacher. This therapy has changed my life so much that I never plan on getting off of it. My husband decided to get his numbers tested too and is now on bioidentical testosterone therapy. He said he will never go back to the way he felt.

I am a 54 year old male. I eat well, I work out regularly and am not overweight. I work as a contractor in Iraq. I started feeling not quite myself. I was very tired. I could not sleep through the night, my joints were killing me and I just felt foggy and slow. I could get an erection but reaching orgasm had become difficult. My skin started itching and I had eczema that I was having difficulty with. I was losing my muscle mass as well. My wife told me about her bioidentical experience. I decided to get my blood work done and found out that my testosterone level had dropped to 600. I decided to do pellet therapy because of being in Iraq for three months at a time. Not 10 days after starting that therapy I felt like my old self. I am able to put muscle on again. I am sleeping through the night, my skin issue has stopped entirely and my joint pain has greatly improved. I have the energy I used to have and am having zero problem reaching orgasm. I have a strong family history of osteoporosis. My mother suffered many painful fractures including spinal fractures. Traditional hormone replacement resulting in her needing a total hysterectomy in her 60's. I did not want the same faith. I began cBHT in my 50's. I did develop osteopenia which was stabilized by an adjustment with testosterone. I have avoided sleep disruptions, hot flashes, vaginal dryness etc. using cBHT. I have had zero side effects or issues. I have been an OBGYN RN for 45 years. I have seen many women fail taking traditional HRT. Of the many women I have told of my personal experience if they subsequently chose to go the CBHT route they have had positive results as well.
Taking away access to this option to individualize and used a plant based natural approach would be beyond detrimental for those of us who have used cBHT. Please seek out information from those who are the most affected before making decisions in a vacuum.

I learned that low estradiol, estrogen, progesterone and DHEA can cause depression, foggy thinking, morning fatigue and increased urinary urge - all of which I was experiencing daily. Everyone should have the right to have access to the best therapy for their body. In some cases, over-the-counter supplements may work. But in millions of cases, cBHT is the best choice. In my case, I have suffered with hormonal imbalances since my 20's. Perimenopause was brought on early, I am hypothyroid and now am experiencing hormonal changes every day since my body can't decide if it is going into menopause or not. These things make it extremely hard to lead an normal life. I am suffering from joint pain and stiffness, heart palpitations, having hot flashes one minute and freezing the next. I can't sleep through the night and am experiencing weight gain. If it weren't for cBHT, I would have no semblance of a life. If I didn't have the medications, I don't think I would have made it out of bed most days. People need options and hope. cBHT offers both and should be accepted as a necessary component to a healthy life.
