Before menopause, I had a total hysterectomy and oopherectomy. It didn't take long before my skin dried up, my emotions were wild, and several other symptoms. I developed breast cancer which is estrogen connected. I have been fighting autoimmune issues for 15 years and have become very chemically sensitive, which limits many items, including a lot of pharmaceuticals. cBHT has been a life saver for me. My life would be in a shambles without it. It doesn't matter what chemicals the FDA approves if I can't use them. I am very concerned that the FDA is even considering a move to restrict cBHT.

My husband and I took compounded hormone replacement medications for several years. It made a big difference for us. It was nice to have the option of having compounded medications made just for us, based on saliva testing, as opposed to a mass produced drug. We were also fortunate to have a local compounding pharmacist.

Without this hormone following a female surgery to stop the chance of getting cancer, I was getting severe migraines, hot flashes, imbalance, and so on. I am EXTREMELY sensitive to any script drugs. This has saved me after many other attempts. Without this cream, I would be unable to function at all. Shame on you for dabbling into something that you have no idea the benefits for many people like myself.

Prior to bioidentical hormone therapy, I had hot flashes, incredible mood swings and depression, felt sluggish all the time, and overall just couldn't stand the skin I was in. I had been on several different anti-depressants and anxiety medications. My menstrual cycle was sporadic and horrific in terms of length and quantity of flow. I have now been on BHT cream for two years. It took about six months for things to "regulate" and my doctor to tweak the dosage, but I feel 10 years younger. I have a sex drive again. I have discontinued the use of anti-depressants and can say with 100% certainty that this have improved my quality of life - as well as the quality of life of my family. Hot flashes are rare and my menstrual cycle is more predictable and managable. I am so thankful that a friend had me see Dr. Whitcomb to discuss bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. I don't feel so "foggy" all the time in terms of remembering numbers/dates/appointments (I used to mess them up all the time!). I certainly still get moody, anxious, and tired, but I just feel "normal" again. This truly has been such a quality of life saver for me.

I was told by two different doctors that I wasn't able to have children. I had irregular or no period at all. My hair did not grow past a certain length, I continued to gain weight despite diet/exercise, and I completely lost my sex drive. cBHT has brought back my period on a regular, monthly schedule. My hair grows normally now. I have now naturally conceived two children. My weight and sex drive are still concerns, but I am working to rectify both as best I can.

I cannot imagine life without cBHT. I entered surgical menopause at age 29 and continued to suffer for years, after standard pharmacology failed me. Unless one has experienced the life-altering effects of menopause, one cannot judge the soul-saving benefits of cBHT. Synthetic hormones are NOT the same, and the delicate hormone cascade knows the difference. Not only is your body affected by hormone disruption, but also your mind and your soul. I am not exaggerating the difference cBHT made in my life.
An arbitrary committee can not understand the quality of life difference cBHT can make without talking to patients, talking to prescribers. I wonder if there were any women on this committee? Any post-menopausal women on this committee? Do NOT allow Big Pharma pressure to determine what my body requires. The decision for hormone supplementation should remain in the hands of patient and doctor - not a committee.

Fear and safety of conventional therapies/treatments steered me toward bioidentical treatment. I am a person who has undergone surgery for breast cancer and needs individual treatment, including labs to follow my changing body. AT 41, I had a complete hysterectomy and needed HELP. My journey began with pharmaceutical Premarin, not a good choice!

When I began perimenopausal symptoms, I couldn't sleep due to hot flashes. Bioidentical hormones saved my ability to sleep as well as enhanced my health in other ways. Most people say I look 10 to 15 years younger, which I believe is mostly due to the hormone therapy. I have used the hormones for nine years, and feel extremely happy with them. I do not believe the artificial hormones that the pharmaceuticals offer would be benificial, and most likely would be harmful. They would definitely be more expensive.

I have been using cBHT for 20 years after a hysterectomy, and breast cancer. I feel it has greatly improved my quality of life. I feel that I am not suffering like other women on synthetic hormones. I know I am getting the exact dose my body needs in a form and with ingredients I can easily and properly absorb. I would never trust any other form other than compounded and the thought of it being taken away from me and so many is devastating.
