“Menopausal clinical depression relieved”

When I turned 40 I began having frequent hormone-related migraines. By 47 I was in clinical depression with insomnia that nothing seemed to relieve. I was too sensitive to antidepressants as they turned me into a zombie. After several tries with prescription hormone therapies that seemed to make me worse I didn't use anything for a while. Finally, it was so bad I agreed to try PremPro (since taken off the market). In three days I felt I had my mind back but still had some of the side effects like migraines. Knowing I preferred the natural approach my OB-GYN suggested working with a compounding pharmacy which I did. Within 2 months we had a winning prescription that took care of the depression, insomnia, and migraines! When it was a time a couple of years later to go off the therapy I had another issue. My hormones are very finely balanced and I couldn't cut out or go every other day for instance. My compounding pharmacist had to decrease the steady amount of hormones I took very slowly over the next couple of years. Sometimes we had to go a half step back then forward again. I could not have had this help from regular pharmaceuticals. I am very grateful to the pharmacist I had then and is currently helping me with thinning bones and hypothyroidism. As I said my hormones are delicately balanced.
