“Memory was minimized after total hysterectomy, besides menopause symptoms”

After having a total hysterectomy at 45 years old, my doctor put me on the usual prescription hormone replacement. At my next appointment, I told my doctor about my memory having become really poor. Prior to the surgery, I was for example able to look at names and phone numbers and remember them. I also told him I did not feel like myself anymore. He just patted me on the back and told me that is what happens when women go into menopause! He had no other answers. I just struggled along.
