It helped me to balance my hormones so I could concentrate and think like normal. When your hormones, (and your thyroid), are not in balance it throws off many bodily functions and symptoms, causing other problems. I was experiencing headaches, eye problems, joint problems, anxious feelings, depression, panic attacks, mood swings, imbalances, concentration issues, extreme fatigue, memory issues, foggy thinking, irritability, binge eating, cravings, sleep deprivation, heart palpitations, night and daytime sweats, hot flashes, etc. The MD doctor just wanted to give me medication, but that was just masking my problems, (like a band aid), and made me feel worse until I found a functional medicine clinic that started me on compounded hormones combined with supplements. My MD doctor also kept telling me that my thyroid was "within the average normal range" which as I have been educated in this area, I have learned to really dislike those words. In reality, my thyroid was a six and it is supposed to be a one or a two. I was miserable! I was prescribed a compounded T3 & T4 medication and am now living a normal happy life. Insurance companies do not pay for compounded medications and this is an important medication in a lot of peoples lives, so please do not take this away from the American people. Go out and speak with people currently asking you to not take compounded medications away from them. You will hear some amazing stories of improved quality of life!
