In my late twenties, I began getting severe and frequent migraines. In my teens I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, and knew I had dealt with other illnesses during my college years that had disrupted my hormones. At my wits end, and crying, I called a local doctor who was well known for hormone replacement therapy.
