I have been taking bioidentical hormones for many years since the birth of my last child. I was in such a bad place psychologically- I had an "irrational irritability" and I was angry all the time for no reason. So many little things made me mad. This affected my relationships with my children and my spouse in many negative ways. I hated the monster that I had become. I knew I needed help. I started researching and asking questions and I finally found bioidentical hormones. I did the saliva test and met with a bioidentical pharmacist and got started on the bioidenticals. Within the first month I noticed big changes. I was more relaxed and calm, I didn't get angry, and I could cope better with all situations that came up. I laughed more. I started to feel like my old happy self. My family noticed the change immediately. I also lost some of the food cravings, my mood improved, my hair improved and I had more energy- it was a godsend and truly saved my marriage. I felt so much better mentally and physically. I did not want to take meds that were synthetic. I wanted to go the natural route. I wanted to take hormones that were specially made for me and my particular needs. We need to move beyond the idea that the same pill/med will fix every woman. That's what I like about bioidentical hormones- they are compounded just for my particular needs and they are natural. Do not place restrictions on these pharmacists or the bioidentical hormones. I have suggested BIH to many people with great success. We women need bioidentical hormones! Please do not mess up a good thing. My BIH are vital to my well-being. I never leave home without them and my husband will completely agree. We don't want to go back to the awful situation we were in. Please for my sanity and sake of my family, please do not place restrictions on bioidentical hormones. There is no reason to. They are safe and natural. There are other areas for the FDA to focus on that are more important. Our BIH are fine as they are!
