“I have been taking bio-identical hormones for 6 years now.”

I am a 59-year-old woman who has medical issues pertaining to post-menopausal issues and the resulting loss of hormones produced by my body. After going through early menopause, I suffered daily with side effects such as severe bone loss, fatigue, loss of memory, loss of energy, moodiness, depression, night sweats, etc. After consulting with many doctors, I had two options: Take pharmaceuticals for all of my side effects which amounted to many pills, shots, or other treatments that may not work... or consider safe bio-identical hormones. I decided to take the bio-identical BHT and found a great doctor and a compounding pharmacist who specializes in BHT. Together, we have managed my health and I feel wonderful. My symptoms have all diminished and my bones are much stronger. I looked forward to many years of good health until I learned that the FDA is eliminating BHT from being compounded as of June 30, 2022, thereby eliminating them altogether. I am completely devastated. There is nowhere for me to turn now except to suffer awful side effects from non-compounded pharmaceuticals. This is horrible and again, I am completely devastated.
