I had my cystic ovaries removed in 2002 at the age of 48. My OBGYN put me on esterase pill and my life was fine. I got breast cancer triple-neg. in 2010 at the age of 56. I had lumpectomies x 2 axillary dissection and radiation and immediately my oncologist took me off my hormones cold turkey. I didn't sleep well for over three years and was suicidal. My oncologist tried every anti-depressant on the market with even worse side effects. I tried to have sex with my husband with lubrication and esterase vaginal cream, but it felt like a cheese grater(so painful). I went to my OBGYN for multiple tears in my vagina including my 25 year old episiotomy opening up toward my rectum. My husband is such a patient man, and we are both Nurse Anesthetists, so we looked into alternate natural treatments. After extensive research we came upon Dr. Valorie Davidson, a naturopathic doctor, and within a week my whole life changed 200%. I was sleeping, having non-painful sex and was no longer depressed. These hormones continue to save my life every day. I still need quite a few adjustments which is just a click away with the best cream and a phone call to my doctor, but I truly believe I would not be here today if not for biodentical hormone replacement. My oncologist will discharge me from the practice if she ever found out but I am willing to take that risk. I do not like to lie to my oncologist, but they simply won't listen. I've been cancer free for 10 years now, but thinking back I was going to die from lack of hormones rather than the cancer. There's something to be said about quality of life and I wish I could preach from the mountaintop to other women who are obviously suffering from hormone depletion, but I have to live in my lie until it becomes "medically accepted". So sad that Big Pharma and the FDA and even the "medical community" don't listen to their patients.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.

Explore our interactive map that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to patients all across the country. Filter these first-hand accounts by state to see just how vital compounded medicines are.
