I had a total hysterectomy at age 36, due to severe endometriosis and pre-cancerous cervical changes. I tried traditional pharmaceutical hormone replacement such as Estratest and Premarin and neither balanced my hormones. With many attempts over seven years at different dosing, I continued to have mood swings, hot flashes, insomnia and weight gain. I gained 40 pounds, suffered from depression and was diagnosed as a diabetic. Within two months of taking bioidentical hormones my hot flashes, insomnia, mood swings, depression and weight improved. Within six months, I had lost 40 pounds and my blood sugar and other labs were back to normal. The thought of going back to my pre-bioidentical hormone status is unimaginable. I NEVER want to live like that again, and consider it a severe threat to my acute and chronic health. Please do not prohibit me from living my healthiest with the use of bioidentical hormones.
