I had a hysterectomy at a young age...

As a person who needed a hysterectomy at a young age, I had to give up taking oral estrogen due to the length of time I was on it (10+ years) due to negative side effects of oral estrogen. I replaced that with a compound estrodial cream that I use vaginally 3 x a week. Without that use, I would be experiencing painful sex and increased urinary tract infections. The FDA would be FAILING consumers if it were to restrict the use of compounded hormone therapy without considering patient outcomes. I for one would fight any restrictions that would impact my ability to rely on compounded hormone therapy!!!

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
