I had a complete hysterectomy at 42 and tried using prescription estrogen patches and did not have good results. I was tired, had hot flashes and was feeling off. I told the doctor I felt different and not like myself and when they tested my hormones, I wasn't getting enough from the patches. I was also not pleased with my doctor and her attitude. I switched doctors to one that prescribes compounds. I was very nervous but after a few months the I could see the difference. No more hot flashes, I felt more balanced and just overall more normal. I can't imagine how long it would take to figure out what combination of drugs would produce the same results.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
