“I am 19 years old and I have had severe PMS every month”

I am 19 years old and I have had severe PMS every month with an extreme dropping of hormones causing me to have headaches, uncontrolled shaking and pain. The shaking was so bad that one month I was taken by ambulance for fear it was a seizure or worse. I worked with a neurologist, obgyn and my practitioner for months until it was determined this was hormone related. I went on a synthetic birth control which landed me with a 14 day migraine that did not respond until I had two treatments in the ER. I tried another synthetic pill which did not help the pain or PMS. This pain significantly disrupted my learning for a week out of each month, which is very difficult to deal with while in college. A doctor suggested trying bio identical hormones. I started with bio identical progesterone in the troche form. In first month, I did not have a shaking episode and my PMS was better. In the second month, I was symptom free. I have now been on for 9 months and this has changed my life. I feel it is my right to be able to keep getting bio identical hormones that work beautifully for me. Thank you for taking time to read my experience.
