Hormone replacement has changed my life in my 50's and my business at the age of 73.

My husband and I moved and started a new business in another state. Connecting with the people in the area and keeping my head clear were vital to making the business work. A year into the business I was not sleeping well, had night sweats, and became emotional about everything. I would get upset about things and start crying or get angry and snap at the customers. I went to see my Doctor and told him that I had all the symptoms of going through my change. His reply was; "You don't look like someone who is menopausal " I said; "What does one look like?" The Dr. said; " well maybe you could talk with my assistant who is a woman and understands your feelings". I said; "my body is breaking down and I am depressed all the time and cannot cope with people. Well, he did not have a answer so I went to see his assistant and she suggested Premarin. I had read many articles and cancer was very high taking this product. Anyway, after another 6 months, I found out about bio-identical hormones from a pharmacy in the town, and within one week of taking the product I started to feel healthy again, like sleeping, being able to think and figure things out, treating people better and not getting upset, actually laughing and enjoying our business. It was such a drastic change that customers were asking my husband; What is your wife taking? We want to take whatever she is taking". (most of them were male customers. ) So, after 5 years I was done with menopause so I stopped taking the hormonal cream. Now, at the age of 73 I started the symptoms again and I knew just what I needed, I have finally balanced again after two months and feel like I am fifty

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.

Explore our interactive map that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to patients all across the country. Filter these first-hand accounts by state to see just how vital compounded medicines are.
