Compounded hormones helped with premature menopause.

I suffered from hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep and was a mess. I entered early menopause at age 43 and was told I was too young for this to happen. It was happening and my knowledge as a pharmacist led me to bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I’m not sure where I would be without it in my life and I’m thankful for my knowledge about compounded hormones. I feel that being without estrogen, progesterone and testosterone at such an early age could lead to health problems later in life. I’m thankful to have hormones to protect my heart, bone and brain health. I’m also thankful for the knowledge and opportunity to help my patients choose the hormone therapy that is best for them. We all know that one size does not fit all.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
