Compounded hormones have greatly affected my health in a goo...

Compounded hormones have greatly affected my health in a good way. I went through thyroid cancer treatment in 2007 at the age of 39 years old. Two years after, my body was put into menopause. I then found a doctor to help me feel better, all my hormone levels were undetectable. I felt terrible, trouble with sleep, sweating, no energy, brain fog, my joints ached and so many other things. I got started on progesterone and a compounded cream of estrogen and testosterone along with a couple of other hormones. It has changed my well-being drastically. I just recently seen a TV program about people being diagnosed with early dementia, as women begin peri/or menopause their bodies are depleted of estrogen a very important hormone for the brain. It affects your memory and thinking drastically. My well-being physically and mentally depends on these hormones to live a healthy balanced life.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
