Commerically available testosterone didn't work for me.

I had a pituitary tumor when I was 22 and I have needed Testosterone therapy ever since. About 10 years ago, I developed a side effect from the injectable testosterone therapy that was made by a pharmaceutical company. I broke out when I injected the product. My doctor recommended a compounding pharmacy and I have been using a topical Testosterone therapy that has kept my levels normal for 10 years. I no longer get peaks and valleys from my testosterone levels. I apply 1ml every day and it's much easier than injecting or using a commercial product that costs hundreds of dollars and contained alcohol with makes me itch. I don't know what I would do without my compounding pharmacy.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
