cBHT has benefited me more than once in my life. First, when...

cBHT has benefited me more than once in my life. First, when I was pregnant with my child, I needed compounded progesterone suppositories. I fear that without them, I would have miscarried. Now that I'm in my 50's, I am entering peri-menopause. I also have PCOS. As a result, I am very low in progesterone. I tried prometrium but it gave me terrible heartburn due to the relaxation of the esophagus. This is the only time in my life that I have every had heartburn. So my doctor switched me to compounded topical progesterone which I have been on without complications for several years. As I enter full blown menopause I fully expect to need compounded hormones to keep me healthy and well. Please do not take them away from me and others like me! I am one of a kind and I need personalized medicine, not some mass produced horse urine.

Hear their stories. Protect their own words. Protect their access to compounded medicines.

On this page, we can only touch on the data that demonstrates the importance of compounded medicines to the lives of millions of people in this country. While the decision to take this vital therapy from patients and physicians might be profitable for big pharmaceutical companies, it will be disastrous for the millions of patients that those same pharmaceutical companies cannot serve!

We encourage the appropriate committees in both the House and Senate to hold hearings on this critical issue.
