I was having about 30 hot flashes a day. Can you imagine breaking out in a sweat that goes through your clothing over and over again? It feels like your body temp. just went up 10 degrees. It affects sleep, intimacy, social life, work life, home life, it's embarrassing, it's horribly uncomfortable, and clothing selections have to change.
cHBT gave me my life back. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't take it away or reduce the ability for compounding pharmacies to help patients to their fullest extent! If you'd ever had to deal with hot flashes, and finally found relief with cHBT, you'd never consider taking that option away when it relieves the suffering of so many. The pharmaceutical companies can't customize what hormone combination a patient needs. What they offer is terribly inadequate since it's doesn't offer safety and one size doesn't fit all. Only cHBT has the flexibility and safety a patient needs. People need this option. Make your decision based on the suffering of humans, not on some study void of input from patients and medical professionals.

Within a few days I again experienced debilitating symtoms - dramatic hot flashes, night sweats, and insomnia. I take no other drugs. I get a bone scan every five years and it is always better than the norm. My only irritation is that insurance does not cover the cost for bioidentical hormones BUT pays for synthetic.

I have had no negative affects from using bioidentical hormone therapy. It has restored the hormone balance in my system and I feel perfectly normal. I am very disturbed to hear that the FDA is considering restricting my use of a very effective therapy for menopause. Obviously those seeking to restrict this have not experienced menopause.

I've been getting bioidentical pellets every four-give months for the past five years and I'm very youthful, energetic, productive, and happy in my late 50's. I don't intend to ever go without HRT.
