I have been using cBHT for eight years. It has maintained and improved my health in many ways. I no longer have hot flashes, mood swings, foggy brain, and it has been the key to keeping away the typical old lady belly fat. Many of my friends keep asking how I am keeping the belly fat away so I give them a brochure on cBHT. I have a family history of heart disease and stroke so I also take cBHT to help protect me from these. I am contemplating an out-of-state move and one of my biggest worries is not being able to find a compounding pharmacy because I must continue my therapy. Compounding pharmacies are critical to my health and well-being.

I have no ovaries and require compounded hormones to be a functioning person. The dosages I need are not offered in any FDA medication. For example, I cannot tolerate even the lowest dose of Prometrium, but I can get the correct lower dosage from a compounding pharmacy. I also have a compounded testosterone prescription as the FDA dosages are only for males; my body needs it, but doesn't make ANY on its own due to my bilateral oophorectomy. If I couldn't get compounded hormones, I honestly would not have an acceptable quality of life, and the thought of that makes me panic.

I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral oopherectomy in 2016. I tried FDA approved patches and pills and nothing worked to eliminate the very debilitating affects of surgical menopause. About six months ago, I began Wiley protocol compounded hormones, and for the first time in nearly four years, I finally felt better. I am grateful for the compounded hormones and would be devastated if they were not available to me.

After trials of various HRT combinations, utilization of an estradiol patch in combination, with 150 milligrams of compounded Progesterone, has provided me with the alleviation of menopausal symptoms. I experience a full night's sleep, clearer thinking during the day, and no hot flashes, etc. I would not want to think of returning to the days prior to the initiation of this combination of compounded medications and the benefits provided by them.

I am an 86 year old woman. I have been on HRT since menopause and on compounded hormones for the last 16 years since we moved and I needed a new doctor, who recommended the compounded hormones. I am doing very well for my age and am in better health than most of my peers. I like to credit quite a bit of that to my hormones. In spite of the fact that I've had an irregular heart (atrial fibrillation) for most of my life, it's not worsening with age - in fact it's better. I also have been pain free for many years. My bones seem to be pretty strong. I had some small falls over the years and a major one, but broke no bones. Sexually, I'm about where I was at 45 years old. Generally for my age I'm in good health. So I'm disappointed to hear that discontinuing compounded hormones is being considered.
It seems to me that doctors are well enough trained to recognize when to, and when not to, use the various kinds of hormones. They do not give a heart pill to someone who has a bladder problem. So please for the sake of some cases, for which the compounded hormones should not be used, do not prohibit it from being used in cases where it is ideal.

I have been on cBHT for 20 years. This really saved me - I was miserable and very unhealthy. A lot of pain issues, high anxiety, horrible female issues that affected daily life. I had hypothyroidism and my adrenal system could not keep up. I was physically and emotionally exhausted, yet had to be a mom and a full time teacher. The compounds are specific to MY body's needs; other prescription drugs increased problems and created higher anxiety and sleeplessness. Thyroid meds (prior to compounding) did not help my situation. It was hard to function and I felt so helpless; I assumed this was just how my life was to be. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR cBHT. ALL of these medical issues are under control and it's hard to even remember how miserable I once was.

I use the hormone ointment to keep me healthy. My family has a history of heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis, among other age related problems that I don't exhibit symptom of. I used to be 177 pounds and had high cholesterol. But, have lost over 50 pounds, have maintained my weight for five years, and my cholesterol is in a normal range. I have muscle and bone strength, and focus which has helped me maintain my employment. The loss of this compounded medication would have a huge negative effect on my health and life.

I am a 74 year old female. When I was 42 years old, I had a total hysterectomy. I experienced hot flashes, low libido, and depression. Without cBHT, I would be living a totally different life. Being 74 years old I am a healthy engaged female.
Taking cBHT has enhanced and enriched my life. Without these hormones, is like taking my womanhood away from me.
P.s. Also would like to note. I have had mammograms every year since taking hormones. All results come back negative.

I began bioidentical hormones back in 2003 as a treatment for hot flashes, night sweats, and to keep my system functioning at an optimal level. I continue to use the cream today and feel great. I am thankful that I have access to a treatment that is safe, natural, and addresses more than just menopausal symptoms. I would be very angry if a decision was made to discontinue compounding pharmaceuticals. I value my option to have a choice between all treatments.

My post hysterectomy symptoms were unbearable after a few years - from only receiving estrogen. The hot flashes were almost debilitating. Drops were not enough due to an impaired lymphatic system. When given the Rx for a compounded hormone replacement, I have been mostly free of hot flashes. I am furious the FDA is considering such restrictions.

I had a pituitary tumor years ago and have been dependent on hormone replacement ever since. I have yearly blood work to make sure my testosterone levels are adequate. I have used testosterone gel compound and will need it for the rest of my life. Do not restrict this.

When I lost all my natural hormones due to surgery, my life changed dramatically, for the worse! I had extreme mood swings, severe hot flashes, and could never get a good night's sleep. I would finally fall asleep for 30 minutes, and then wake suddenly with my night clothes wringing wet! I gained 30 pounds, even though I did not increase my calories, and have spent the last 60 years living and working on a family farm. Talk about experiencing negative symptoms, boy did I. Of course I was depressed. Thank heavens my gynecologist listened and prescribed bioidentical hormones, specifically for my individual needs, as each person is indeed different. These hormones changed my life and helped me feel "normal" again.

I started menopause really early in life at 29 with the birth of my second child. That is when I started HRT. I am still using it to this day. It has been 11 years. I also had a hysterectomy and without HRT I would be a mess. I was experiencing postpartum depression and had a ton of other symptoms for low estrogen. We also found out I have PCOS so I cannot take any testosterone or progesterone as it makes me angry so the only way I can get my hormones is to have them compounded for just estrogen

Having correctly balanced hormones has impacted many of my other health conditions in positive ways. Standard manufactured doses can either give too much or not enough hormone to reach my optimal function. Being able to obtain the tailored doses that are best for me improves my overall health. I have found that when my hormones (including thyroid) are balanced, my other prescriptions (for other health issues) seem to work better and more effeectively.
