After years of hormonal imbalance that most doctors didn't understand or want to treat since I wasn't trying to get pregnant, I finally found relief when labs showed that estrogen dominance, progesterone deficiency and testosterone deficiency were at the bottom of my breakthrough bleeding, severe PMS, irregular periods and non existent libido. As a woman, I am INFURIATED that insurance companies and the FDA hand out "the little blue pill" without question, but when women of childbearing age struggle with hormone difficulties not resulting in miscarriage, most doctors ignore our symptoms and even if they acknowledge them, act as though there's nothing to be done. That is simply NOT true. I didn't need an anti-depressant, mood stabilizer, or birth control. I needed uniquely compounded hormone support that addressed my unique hormone imbalances. Please do NOT take away this tool from doctors and patients who understand that compounded medications meet the needs of millions of people who cannot be met with a 'one size fits all' approach to hormone disorder treatment.
